hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 He's not a good penalty saver, he's not a good keeper. Get rid
Fmfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 i dont think you buy a goalie on his penalty saving skills, it is very rare, sounds like most of the penos were good anyway. Its almost impossible to save it if it is in the corner so you have to gamble early, thats why ones down the middle are hard to save
Corky Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 You just knew it. Getting sick of their ground.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 They had it on a plate with eight minutes to go in normal stoppage time. Instead, they threw it away. Little disappointed in this, especially the way it's ended. Sunday it is, then... Oh wait, we're playing Cardiff again. Fvck. Agree with this and it will go down actually as another Sven failure.. If he would have picked just a slightly stronger team tonight we would have probably won in 90 mins I'm disappointed too and would have liked a big away draw next round.. Then again my faith in Sven is generally fading
funkyrobot Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Fookin fookity fook, bollovks and arseholes. U forgot mingeflaps bast*rd w*nksh*t
MC Prussian Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Concentrate on the league MC, concentrate on the league. One can only hope Cardiff's first-team players that featured tonight to be well knackered after this game, so we might get a chance at nicking 1 point.
Brown Fox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Not really fazed by that. As much as I'd love to go on a storming cup run I struggle to care about the early stages of the carling cup. Think we'll have these on Sunday.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Being out of the cup being a blessing is one of the only things I agree with Neil Warnock about. Would you have (extremely hypothetically) gone to Wembley?
Dylan Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 You've got to save at least 1 out of 7 Weale.. ****ing hell.
brockmyster Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Hate those ****ing wankers surely due a win on sunday?
CKB Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Disappointed of course but the league is our number priority.. Hopefully we can get a good result on Sunday now, the lads surely will be up for abit of revenge!
atw88 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 That is what we call a 'Quinning' Soz lads, see ya soon!
MikeyT Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 So, it appears tonight's scapegoat will be Weale
Brown Fox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Agree with this and it will go down actually as another Sven failure.. If he would have picked just a slightly stronger team tonight we would have probably won in 90 mins I'm disappointed too and would have liked a big away draw next round.. Then again my faith in Sven is generally fading Pick a stronger team and risk getting key players injured for a shitty carling cup 3rd round match in front of 8,000. I'd much rather have our players fit and not knackered/injured so we can concentrate on the league.
MC Prussian Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Fernandes - don't go breaking my heart.
Corky Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 You've got to save at least 1 out of 7 Weale.. ****ing hell. Their keeper saved none as well.
gerrytaggart Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 OH NO WE LOST WITH OUR SECOND TEAM IN THE CUP SO I'M GONNA RAGE!! C'mon, some of you guys need to sort it out. its called emotion mate...dont think anyone is in a rage, we just sat through over two hours of football mostly dominated by leicester and then lost on spot kicks! people have a right to be a bit gutted, we are all passionate about our team?!?!...
AmyLGK Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Ah bugger! But I think we can take a lot of positives from the game - our second team sounded pretty lively, and most of our team for Sunday didn't play so will be fresh. A pain that we had it and screwed it up at the last minute - how very Leicester of us. Losing to Cardiff again on penalties only reinforces my thought that we're going to beat them on pens at some point during a very important game - its one for the story books as the commentators like to say. Roll on Sunday
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Two penalty shootouts, no saves. The only one he has saved is that shocking Tevez penalty. Off the top of my head he also saved a penalty from Arca at the Riverside last year.
themotivator Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 didn't tune in till the start of extra time. how did johnson hold up? i heard youngy dribble out some words to the effect of him being a contender for MOTM
Floridafox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Agree with this and it will go down actually as another Sven failure.. nuttytimmy Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Disappointing for it to come to an end so soon, it was always going to be penalties though. A good run out for the fringe players who have given Sven a headache, no doubt. (Thoughts in full) Bring on Sunday when we roll out the big guns!
