Lineker's Left Foot Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Not sure if been covered before, so I do apologise, but having seen the football club richlist, as we know the Rasriaksorn's aren't that loaded, but how come we can attract Sven, spend lots of money on better players etc.. when you consider the owners of Doncaster for example have much more than us. Does anybody think that it is somebody else and not just Top and Vichai providing the finances??? To invest this much money, there must be bigger money men than them. Anybody else any ideas??
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 It's not just the Rakriaksorn's personal wealth/worth. Asia Football Investments is the consortium that owns us, isn't it? I'm probably completely off the mark.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 6 October 2011 Author Posted 6 October 2011 Think you're probably right Mike, but who else is in this... I just get this funny feeling that it is Shinawatra - who are good friends with the Raksriaksorns.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 There was an Indonesian link when the takeover was announced, can't remember the name but it was some guy that made his money from coal (I think).

Quick search and the guy's name is Iman Arif. Not sure how big his stake is, what his role was, or if he's even still involved.
acooling08 Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Our owners seem willing to spend a lot more than other owners. I love the Raksiraksorns Racksriaksorns Rakisauruses Raksriaksorns
Libertine Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Arif has left. Think Newin Chidchob is still in though. That's just their personal wealth though right, the company is supposedly worth way more than that? Though I don't know how it's worked out.
Guest MattP Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Won't know until ten years. Can;t get access to the clubs accounts
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 Never look at those rich lists any way, as a smart business man never declares his full personal wealth and bits of pie they have there finger in for tax reasons among others.
dave_the_fox Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 It's all coming from Joe sim and bryan robson......
Jace Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 socceroo fox is bang on, we have discussed the wealth lists on here a few times recently and the Rasriaksorn's are fairly average on there compared to other teams. Problem with those lists though is many go on estimated wealth based on public information when a good business man will keep personal wealth as private as possible. Depending on the business you are in will determine how public your finances are (eg what type of share holdings in PLCs etc.) but as far as we can tell with the wealth of the King Power brand their personal wealth is greatly underestimated. It is alot easier to estimate the wealth of a chairman like Dave Whelan at Wigan as he traded in the UK under JJB and his company accounts are public information to us so unfortunately I don't think anybody is really going to know the answer

I agree with the point that there has to be some more money coming from somewhere as everything I have read does not list the Thai boys as that wealthy.
Bert Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 The company that is putting the money into the AFC, turns over £300m a year.... They're well off, and this is no Shinawatra either.

I agree with the point that there has to be some more money coming from somewhere as everything I have read does not list the Thai boys as that wealthy. but if there personal wealth is being estimated around £170million, and King Powers wealth is estimated to be in the billions and like Bert said is turning over 300million a year dont you think £170 million sounds very unrealistic? approx a 1/3 of that wealth would of already been spent on LCFC on the takeover, transfers, wages etc.
bluebeau Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 £300 million turnover is very good, but it's the bottom line that really matters. What is the net profit or maybe loss? There are 1,000s of companys in the world that have a very hefty turnover, but don't manage to make a profit. imo King Power is a very healthy company & the City owners are reliable & trustworthy people.

Jace Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 Reggae reggae's Piri piri?? not bad, I think this is a better source...
Guest shearfox Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Well they have proven they are more than willing to back Sven so I would imagine they must be loaded.
dave the caveman Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 They own a bit of land and a few shops. Not a chance the money is coming from them.
