Skullfisher Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Couldnt agree more, Ivarti! OGS is the best choice if not MON join (as he never will). Would be superb to see a fellow norwegian in Leicester...

That link confirms he'll have an abundance of information at his fingertips and sounds like as close to a 10/10 endorsement from Ferguson as any man could get. ;I hope our owners have the sense to pick up the phone and give him the chance to be our third legend of the last 50-odd years. Cos, apart from MON, I've seen no-one mentioned who's likely to do better in the long term.
DannyLCFC1 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 According to this mornings sun, he will be given the portsmouth job today.

Thracian Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 o-neill-and-solskjaer-in-for-foxes-job? Always been my top 2 That's as it should be but is, sadly, not a very convincing reference! Unsubstantiated comment hooked onto an old quote.
B52 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Sven was sacked because of his tactical ineptitude, the limitations of his signings and subsequent team selections, the lack of progress in areas of obvious weakness and any number of other things. Naa, he was sacked because the owners wasn't patien enough. Sven had english players at disposal this time and they only know how to run like headless chickens so it takes time to develop them into Barcelona.

Which just goes to show, if you choose to use headless chickens to emulate Barcelona, you'll end up getting axed as well.

Cos, apart from MON, I've seen no-one mentioned who's likely to do better in the long term. Totally agree, sounds like SAF rates him highly. He is super smart, a real natural reader of the game and has won everything he has been involved in. Also, he is the king of getting late winners, maybe he could bring that to us too! It's a lot abount mentality and personality and he along with being knowledgable has all that. I'd trust our Norwegian friends opinions on this matter - regarding OGS the person and what he has done to date.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Would OGS be worth a try? There are so many possible candidates out there for the Leicester job, still hoping MON gets the job
wurmer Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Would OGS be worth a try? There are so many possible candidates out there for the Leicester job, still hoping MON gets the job Does he still look like a 12 year old? Totally irrelevant, but just interested.
bettso Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Does he still look like a 12 year old? Totally irrelevant, but just interested. Wurmer = Dave Jones
Ron Combo Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Hey chaps, you can still get 33/1 with Victor Chandler for OGS. Fill your boots!
Salieri Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Hey chaps, you can still get 33/1 with Victor Chandler for OGS. Fill your boots! Just noticed he's down to 8's with a couple of bookies!
Number 6 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I would like this to happen just so that Thrac can't moan.
Ron Combo Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Just noticed he's down to 8's with a couple of bookies! Precisely!
Nick Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Mercury reporting that Thai press are saying him and MON are both candidates.
STUHILL Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Mercury reporting that Thai press are saying him and MON are both candidates. Starting to think most newspaper stories get their info from in here!! I'm sure now someone has started a MArtin Allen thread, his odds will suddenly drop and stringer and the merc will report he is a target!!
Thracian Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I'm sure now someone has started a MArtin Allen thread, his odds will suddenly drop and stringer and the merc will report he is a target!! That'll probably be at the Chelternham Bouncers' Training Weekend!
