Why not? Money talks and are we honestly saying we have less ambition than Norwich frikkin City and Southampton?

That's not the point. Lambert is adored in Norwich and if he moves on it will be upwards to a team like Celtic.

And looking at the league table, and having seen them at the Way earlier this season, right now the saints are better-placed to reach the Premier League than we are.

Did you not see Fez's posts? Given his contacts, their contents should be studied more carefully..

No offence but you perhaps need to direct this post at 32.73% of the vote pal

I dont know Fez or that he had contacts of course....?

just listened to radio interview with ian stringer & the owner, credit to Ian for saying that the city would be on fire. If Martin came back. Good interview, did anyone hear when Ian said "Mark Hughes", i'm sure I heard the owner say "who?"

I think actually its between MON and Sparky.

Tend to agree Nick.

The circumstances regarding O'Neill have changed significantly over the past year; i.e. when MON turned us down.

AFI have proved their willingness to provide money for the cause and he's had another year on the sidelines with the job offers not exactly flooding in. I imagine the latter is more down to his demands of autonomy in squad matters, which he would get here just as readily as Sven did. The meddling from above (hello Mr Mandaric) appears to be a thing of the past.

There's a stronger chance than many seem to think.

We'll end up with a 'Big Name' who's shite.....Like Rudd Gullit....oh god...please no.

I'd like Lee Clark.

Ruled himself out earlier today...

lol What a fantastic circus that would be.

I'd rather have Andy Gray as director of football with Thrac as first team Coach and Col City as the clubs equality and diversity officer.

So long as Andy Gray runs Leicester City Ladies, I'm all over it.

yea wot i meant woz by the big name thing, advertising the name

no point having just a big name..

need to be in the premier for maximum exposure....and a manager whos never managed hardly going to get us there

If it's Champ experience the owners are after then Billy D must be a strong contender. Mate at work is a big Forest fan and absolutely loves the guy.

I dont understand some of the negative attitudes towards Billy Davies.

A proven championship success. He's managed to get all of his teams into AT LEAST the playoffs.

Ok, perhaps he isnt the most charismatic man, perhaps not the man to figurehead a brand name, but I just want an idea of why fans dont like him? Its not purely because he was a Derby and Forest manager.
