Bert Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 Every season a promoted team always seems to be lingering around the Play-Off spots, with last seasons being QPR, and the season before was Wigan. So who does everyone think it'll be this season?? My bet is Luton
Nationwider Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 Luton, only because they were the best side in L1 last season. None of them to make the play-offs, however.
Thracian Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 Luton, only because they were the best side in L1 last season. I don't mind mentioning Hull cos its got an impressive bridge but I don't want to ruin my state of mind by mentioning their football club manager cos he should have been exiled on the Dogger Bank for what he did to City.
Hazza Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 I'll say Sheffield Wednesday, to give each team an option. Seriously though, they impressed me in the play-off final, have a good, young side and a few funds and top manager.
Louise Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 Sheffield Wednesday, generally it seems that playoff winners do better (at least for a while) as they've got that continued confidence to carry on with. Plus they have the support and probably the resources. That said I don't think any of the promoted three will be actually in the playoffs this year.
Anish Posted 26 June 2005 Posted 26 June 2005 Wrong forum? 127687[/snapback] I wouldn't say that if I was you, some people would think you're moaning I'd say Hull, they have plenty of resources and as much as I hate the tosser, Taylor has done rather well managing them.

I reckon it might be Hull too unfortunately, as long as we do the double over them they can do what the hell they like and wont be anywhere near promotion either
Durnerz Posted 26 June 2005 Posted 26 June 2005 Sheffield Wednesday I think, with a manager like Sturrock.
Hitesh Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 I reckon Luton. They already have a decent squad and they will achieve a low-mid table postition. And i hope Hull dont do well at all!
Gené and Tonic Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Sheff Wed. Sturrock is a top manager and they have great players like Rocastle and that right winger who ran the show in the Play off final. They also have a good goal scorer in Maclean.
AcidRoyal Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Wednesday to do the best- around mid table, they have a strong squad, can't see luton or hull getting anywhere though
TrickyTrev Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Hull. Luton have no money and a very young squad with enough talent to stay int he division but not to amount a promotion challenge.
Ric Flair Posted 29 June 2005 Posted 29 June 2005 I hope Hull don't do well, they have the footballing equivalent of Saddam Hussain in charge. They should be docked alot of points, he's a criminal.
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 June 2005 Posted 29 June 2005 hate to say it but Hull With Junior Lewis (spaghetti legs) being top goalscorer!
