Perhaps better having an unambiguous view than taking your line of saying you weren't happy with the way Sven was perfoming then grumbling about the fact we got rid of him. At least I know who I'd like as manager which is more than the club seem to know...even assuming they can set up a private meeting to discuss the subject in the first place.

Thracian usually covers himself quite well by having an excuse if things dont go as he predicted... but I can't see it with this one. If OGS flops then Thracian is just wrong!! haha who is praying for OGS to flop now.....

He has won medals but let's not forget he was happy to warm Utd's bench for about a hundred years. I don't know what personality trait you read from that but to me it screams: i'm not that bothered. An indication perhaps that once the going gets tough (a situation he has not yet faced as a manager) he'll be looking to shy away into the dugout like he did for most of his playing career, rather than putting himself out there and making a difference.

But while I don't know that Babs and friends would actually be gleeful if our manager failed, they'd sure let me know the position and I really can't see them sending me messages of congratulation if OGS got the job and succeeded. But don't forget Stuhill, I said early on that, given a positive outlook on the job, I'd expect him to get a year minimum. There's flotsom and jetsam to be cleared from Sven's stay and far too many weaknesses right now to just gloss over. Promotion won't be easy this season whoever takes over.
