accessory Posted 3 November 2011 Author Posted 3 November 2011 Not really, a regular will just be full of gushing praise. People in the past who've played under him (Gareth Southgate for one) say he has no drive, tactically inept & couldn't motivate a starving person to eat. Many of us who watched his final games in charge reached the same conclusion. Remember that Howard also played under Holloway and Sousa. I'd be interested to hear him compare Sven with them.
Fox92 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I missed it again! I sometimes forget this is one, what did Steve actually say? Wished I would have listened to it.
stourbridgefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I think Howard is probably set up for this by the club. After Sousa was sacked Wellens did a radio interview about a week later where he spilled the beans. Wellens was last season's player of the season, this season everyone loves Howard.
MikeyT Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I missed it again! I sometimes forget this is one, what did Steve actually say? Wished I would have listened to it. Me too!!
sphericalfox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Me too!! Nothing really. Stringer hyped it up and posters did too. Obviously there was some discontent in the squad. He hardly spilled some beans or opened any cans of worms.
flowwolf Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Come on folks the owners knew very well he had lost the dressing room and and most of the fans knew it too. Because this site has a small amount of regulars we often get a jaundice view of the bigger picture of life at the KP stadium. If you get twenty posters on any particular subject the majority of views still do not reflect the reality of the situation , it just means that most of those twenty think one way and sad to say are influenced by the regulars. Erickson was a disastrous appointment , his signings and tactics bare this statement out by virtue of his results and the attitude of his players. There is a tendency on here to listen to those who have racked up the most posts on here and take that as as a sign that they know what they are talking about , and if challenged they close ranks and resort to belittling new comers and attack their spelling or grammar. Or worse use sarcasm as a means towards an end. so new comers take heart and enrich this site by daring to be different.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 hahaha you put spaces before commas and started a sentence with or! And completely ignored the existence of paragraphs! <_<

I don't lament his departure but how was Sven a disastrous appointment, apart from his cost in the mad, mad world of football finance? For all the disapppointment we remain in contention for promotion and our profile has been lifted considerably. Yes, all that's below expectations but it isn't relegation or the prospect of signing Cadamarteri off the car park. Everything Sven did wrong could have been sorted with the right will ... new coach, tactical/motivational assistant, sign a winger or two, use two strikers in tandem etc. Sadly he couldn't or wouldn't see it and we moved on. But any incomer has been left with a basis to work on and that includes the "dressing room" which will mend just fine wih one or two swift changes. .
flowwolf Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Thrace you kind of contradict yourself by saying " but how was sven a disastrous appointment " then go on to list all the reasons he was ? As for Trav --Shade :appl: I do appreciate a good wind up well done ( and so you should be ) :giggle: :giggle:
Buzzell Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 The truth according to a non regular player? Are you mad? It will be one man's view, and that is totally different from the truth. If I came on the radio and said that I had a dog who could talk ten languages, and was a fully qualified doctor, would you believe me. Hmm. Probably Holy crap! You have a dog that speaks ten languages!!??
shade Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 could anyone who heard it sum up any interesting points? cheers.
RyanB89 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Howard is a terrible football player (if you can call him that)
Houdini Logic Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Howard is a terrible football player (if you can call him that) Hello, You don't really know much about football, do you? Bye.

absolutelegend Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I hope this doesn't turn into a Sven back stabbing. Sven acted fantastically whilst at City and always spoke intelligently and positively about the club and i admire him greatly for that.

Are we in a worse position than when he took over?
flowwolf Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Well he wasn't a disastrous appointment. Are we in a worse position than when he took over? No we are in the same position just millions lighter no better players and 500K in his trouser pockets for being a looser.
The Doctor Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 No we are in the same position just millions lighter no better players and 500K in his trouser pockets for being a looser. indeed, midtable and relegation zone are exactly alike.
flowwolf Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 If someone had just cost me 500k to get rid of I would sure call that a disaster.
blueredswed Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Hello, You don't really know much about football, do you? Bye. Howard is a good striker when he like the manager! Look at Barcelona and you knew what I mean or? Exuse mee I wrote not this in Milan ... Striker is an striker an I don´t think he have something to do in premier! Perhaps in Chamions but I think it´s fair to say goodbye know and not after we have gone up. Perhaps I´m wrong but justice mee then. Now you are waiting for three... :scarf:
Corky Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 No we are in the same position just millions lighter no better players and 500K in his trouser pockets for being a looser. No better players? Peltier not better than Lamey or Neilson? Nugent not better than Fryatt?
