Bert Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Kasper 6 - Still solid, no chance with the goal. One dodgy moment. Pelts 7 - another solid performance. Attacked well. Konchesky 6 - a good footballer, doesn't utilise his strengths enough. Mills 5 - poor clearance for the goals, few dodgy passes. Bamba 6 - tries doing too much, one bombs are. Defended well. Danns 5 - not great, but he's not a winger. Gally 6 - tried this and that, nothing came off for him today. Wellens 5 - slow, wastes the ball more than people think, doesn't move for the ball. King 5 - anonymous once more, if he was in position they may not have scored..... Nugent 6 - usual work hard story, frustrating afternoon. Howard 6 - felt sorry for him, was getting raped all game yet the ref wasn't interested. Beckford 6 - looked sharp, but maybe for obvious reasons. Johnson 6 - looked like he was gonna create something for us. Needs to start.
Burmesefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Konch had an immense game - very lively and attacking.
lcfcsnow Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Howard 6 - felt sorry for him, was getting raped all game yet the ref wasn't interested. Refs are just used to his antics, oh how I haven't missed watching a Steve Howard performance consisting of falling over, moaning and misdirected headers this season.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 6 Peltier: 7 Bamba: 8 - TEKKERS! Mills: 7 Konchesky :7 Danns: 5 Wellans: 7 King: 5 Gallagher: 5 - Looked like he didnt care Nugent :8 Howard: 5 - Leeds players all over him, fouling him at every moment. Beckford: 6 - finally showed he wanted to play for us! Johnson: 5
seenitall Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schm. 8 Pelt. 7 Mills 8 Bamba 9 Konch 8 Danns 5 Well 6 King 4 couldn't be arsed Gall 4 pointless Nuge 7 no support until becks on How 4 gimme a break Becks 7 should have started Schl and johns pointless subs, too late to have any effect
RowlattsFox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Kasper -6- No chance with the goal. Peltier -6- always willing but not his best. Mills -5- Thought he was sloppy. Bamba -7- Easily best player. Konchesky -6- I feel sorry for him, has to play the left side on his own every game and is not a natural in attacking positions. Great work ethic though. Danns -4- Very poor. King -4- Completely passed him by. Wellens -5- Tries, but when its not his day he looks poor. Gallagher -6- Least he looked like he could do something. Nugent -6- Worked hard but not his day. Howard -4- This is why he should not be starting for us, couple of decent cameos don't change that. Beckford -6- Lively. Johnson -4- Had no impact.
wacky Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel- 6 not alot to do, if fact very little. Kicks little wayward apart from the best pass of the game to beckford . Peltier- 6 tried to get forward but has I've said before not in same league as naughton. Defensively sound. Konchesky-6 if only he can pass a ball more than 5 yards Bamba-8 solid, got bored at the back & decided a few times to get forward with the ball. Mills- 6 poor clearance that led to the goal, poor distribution with his long passes. Wellens- 7 if only we had a pacey forwards for him to pass to. His slaters lay of him, best passer of the ball in the club & also gets stuck in. Danns- 4 lack of ability of what to do just before half- time. Not a wide midfield player. King- 5 ok working in a tri-angle passing the 3 yards but I want him getting in the box & get back scoring consistently like last season. Gally- 5 good game in mid- week back to norm today, ineffective. Howard- 4 got in from good perf in mid-wk fair enough but would of took him off after 30 mins, shocking perf, 50 year old bloke had him in his pocket that says it all!!! Nugent-7 tried to do too much at times but he is class & will get better when we decide to attack alot more & have a decent player along side him. Subs, nothing worth talking about only Beckford should of been on earlier for Howard. Stowell, liked his enthusiasm on the touch line getting the players to play at pace/ urgency early on in the game. This what we lacked under Sven ( good riddance ). Only fault beckford should have been on earlier. Good night god bless
Thracian Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel 7 (However we play this guy gives 100% and tries to be the complete professional. Caused the odd problem with his kicks). Peltier 7 (Acceptable. Had one reasonable chance didn't have the composure to take it) Mills 7 (Never at ease against Keogh who, despite limited service, was more of a threat than anyone we had. At fault for the goal with his clumsy, uncontrolled block.). Bamba 7 (Forever dilutes so much good work with a costly or potentially costly mistake). Konchesky 7.5 (Edged MoM for his tenacious defending, his desire to get forward and his determination to stay involved). Wellens 5.5 (Disappointing. We were second to the ball in midfield far too often but, as the more creative players, he and King just didn't get satisfactory support, movement or passing opportunities). Danns 3 (Little boy lost. Just abdicated responsibility and posed no danger whatsoever.). King 5 (See Wellens. He passed the ball soundly enough but was well marked, became too withdrawn and was never a goal threat. Needed to be more demanding and to show more leadership and determination.). Gallagher 6.5 (On the ball he represented a whisper of danger but off the ball he's just lightweight). Howard 6 (Should have won a penalty after bein blatantly pushed in the box. Had one excellent volley early on and won his share of ball but faded later and we suffered by playing far too many long balls in his direction insted of varying our attacks. Not that we truly had the personnel to provide very much variety) Nugent 6 (Looked a bit selfish and frustrated today. Picked a chance or two out of nothing but was generally well codntained and when he did make a good early run, people like Danns failed to pick him out). Subs Johnson 2 (What's he for?) Beckford 5 (At least showed some effort) Schlupp - N/A (shamefully, because the game was begging for his pace)
The Doctor Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Holy ****ing shit - did I just see Thracian critise Andy King?
themotivator Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Stowell, liked his enthusiasm on the touch line getting the players to play at pace/ urgency early on in the game. This what we lacked under Sven ( good riddance ). Only fault beckford should have been on earlier. Good night god bless I dont think I'm exaggerating when i remark that almost anybody can shout and get excited like that at a football game. it means **** all really. If thats all there was to management then the decision the board have to make at the moment would be pretty easy. Shouting alone clearly does not work. At least it convinces fans like you not to slag them off. Well done Stowell for sucessfully being passionate about the people you work with every day. Oh wait, our squad is in total disarray. "AAAARRRGHH GO ON ATTACK, NO WAIT... SHOOT..SCOOOORRREE... GO ONNNN!!!!"
When_your-smiling2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 6 Peltier: 6 Bamba: 8 - best player for us i thought Mills: 6 Konchesky : 5 Danns: 4- worst player on the pitch today Wellens: 7 King: 5 . Gallagher: 6 Nugent :8 didn't give up throughout the match Howard: 6
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Kasper 7.5 Peltier 7.5 Mills 7 Bamba 8.4 Koncesky 7.7 Wellens 6.7 Danns 5.9 King 6 Gally 6.8 Howard 7 Nugent 7.9
okie fox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel -7- Assured apart from one bad kick Peltier -7- Pushed forward well near the end Mills -5- Started nervously, should be winning headers versus Keogh Bamba -8- Immense apart from one scare Koncheskey -7- Good game Gallagher -6- Left his shooting boots at home Wellens -7- Distributed ball well. Has to slow game down because we have a slow team with no runners getting open King -5- Failed to impose himself on the game Danns -5- Lightweight, no conviction Howard -5- Should have been subbed much earlier as the ref was letting O'Brien hold him down in the aerial battles, thereby negating his only asset Nugent -6- Worst game I have seen him play SUBS: Came on too late Beckford -7- Much better from him. Used his pace to almost get through Johnson -5- Seems way off the pace Schlupp -6- Not on for long, but was pulled back in the penalty area REF: Hopeless. Couldn't spot the Leeds defenders wrapping their arms around Howard MANAGERS: Didn't make changes quickly enough. Picked a slow team so Leeds defence rarely in any danger.
Corky Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schemeichel- 6 Peltier- 6 Mills- 5 Bamba- 7 Konchesky- 6 King- 5 Wellens- 6 Danns- 5 Gallagher- 5 Nugent- 6 Howard- 5
Corky Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Can't believe the Howard haters. He did what he had to do. He won his balls (when he wasn't being assaulted by the dirtiest player around - hooooooooof Kisnorbo) and laid the ball off - simples and it moved us about 50/60 yards up the pitch... He may have won the ball but it rarely went to a team-mate.
Karljohn Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Mills 8 8? Are you adding up Mills score for the season so far with that?
Head Honcho Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 We went from having a shit midfield early doors to having no midfield! Danns ain't good enough and King deserves better. Wellens went off the boil after his booking and Gally ran around like a headless chicken. If these guys train together then there was no evidence of it yesterday.
seenitall Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 8? Are you adding up Mills score for the season so far with that? You are blind sonny - he's the best centre back we've had since the Walsh Elliot days - defence barely troubled yesterday and poor midfield responsible for the goal - tackle anybody???
