bald reynard Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Could those that went to the KP today, post some City player ratings please ?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 You know that won't stop people who listened on the radio.
acooling08 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 From the game. RL listeners blaming Wellens, or saying we are unfit etc can fvck off. Kasper 5 - Few dodgy kicks, almost gifted Leeds a goal at one point with a poor clearance. No chance for the goal. Peltier 6 - Solid defensively but showed nothing going forward. Mills - 7 - Solid. Bamba - 8 - Great defensively and showed a lot of effort to get forward late on. Konch - 6 - Again he is solid defensively but displays some of the worst crossing/shooting I've ever seen. Wellens - 6 - Put a shift in. Danns - 5 - Lost the ball a fair few times, seems too lightweight. He has yet to play his best for us. King - 4 - Only noticed him once, and that was when he made a poor cross from a good position. Gally - 5 - Did nothing of note. Nugent - 6 - Ran a lot but Leeds stifled him really well. Howard - 5 - Returning to the form that got him dropped all those months ago.
lcfcsnow Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 How is Howard starting games for us? He was past it two seasons ago, that performance was pathetic. We could get a better striker from non league for 20k.
kingfox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Just came home. Schmeichel 7 - The passion and determination he has is second to none, some good saves aswell Peltier 8 - Would give him man of the match, very good performance Mills 7 - Great first half, poor second lost out to Keogh a few times Bamba 8 - Insane defender, things he does are just so good to watch, one bad mistake though Konchesky 8 - Like Bamba the things he did were very good, but also one bad mistake Wellens 6 - Just lumps it in the box, time and time again Danns 5 - Can run his socks off all he likes, he offers absolutely nothing King 5 - Went walkabouts again, seems he is only playing well away from home Gallagher 7 - Thought he did well today, some nice touches and tried to make things happen Howard 6 - First half very good, second half did very little Nugent 6 - Works tirelessly, but his second half performance was the worst i've seen him play Subs Johnson 4 - Terrible Beckford 5 - A good touch and a good run about it Schlupp - N/A
cairnsy Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 5 - distribution was so poor today - 1 good save at his near post and couldnt do much about the goal Peltier: 7 - Mr consistent Bamba: 8 - thought he was a beast today - he has the luck of the irish which helps him to no end Mills: 5 - lost more headers than won and didnt clear the ball properally for the goal Konchesky: 9 - MOTM for me, worked his ass off today attacking and defending and only once got beaten Danns: 1 - Piss poor, at fault for the goal - did not track his man, always came and offered himself to the middle pratically stepping on kingy's feet whereas there is a ton of space on the wing. Made error after error and was generally just terrible Wellans: 5 - 1st half was good, made some clever passes and made leicester tick over, poor 2nd half King: 4 - Meh.. usual performance Gallagher: 6- thought he had a ok game today but did nothing special Nugent: 7 - Worked hard today running for lost causes and tried to make things tick as the midfield was not doing much Howard: 3 - Ineffective and passing was poor.. dont remember him making a single positive pass, made some headers but the two Leeds CB seemed to be able to deal with him easy enough. Trying to watch him run with the ball or do anything with the ball is like Bambi on ice. Beckford: 7 - Offered a different dimension to our play.. urgency and determination from him once he came on, first time i've seen in a leicester shirt. Johnson: 5 - Alright i suppose? Schlupp: N/A
acooling08 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Becchio - 0 - Little cheating cvnt. Rolling around on the floor screaming, only 30 seconds later to be sprinting to the corner flag. Hope someone does break your leg someday you snivelling little shit. That'll give you something to scream about.
beryllind Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 6 Peltier: 6 Bamba: 8 - thought he was the best today Mills: 6 Konchesky :7 Danns: 4 Wellans: 6 King: 3 Gallagher: 5 Nugent :8 Howard: 4. Beckford: 7 Johnson: 5
Mack Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Cant be bothered with ratings after that. The bottom line is we were inept in the final third and got into countless positions only to end up passing the ball back to the defence. Until we start to play with some width with players that can delivery quality ball into the box it will be a long hard season.
Yojoe36 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Was actually at the game. Some people on RL clearly don't have a clue Kasper 6 - Some scary stuff from him. however, his ball to Beckford was world class Peltier 6 - Meh Mills - 7 - Decent Bamba - 9 - I LOVE SOL SOL BAMBA!!! Konch - 6 - Meh Wellens - 5 - Put some good balls up, otherwise, he seemed to slow the play up too much Danns - 6 - Seemed a bit week, but that's just me King - 4 - Did he even play 2nd half? Gally - 5 - Missed 2 great chances Nugent - 7 - Was alright Howard - 6 - Shame the ref was utter shit. Beckford - 6 - seemed alright, but his touch was unlucky, when Kasper booted it to him Schlupp N/A - Didn't see enough Johnston - 6 meh
The Doctor Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel - 6 - No chance for the goal and some iffy distribution at points but a decent performance Peltier - 7 - got forward reasonably well but got nothing from Danns Bamba - 8 - Overall comfortable, continues to give me kittens with his tricks and flicks in the centre of defence. For the sake of everyone's heart Sol, just bloody clear it. Mills - 6 - Out paced a bit by McCormack and unlucky with the goal but overall a decent performance Konchesky - 6.5 - Got forward and supported Gallagher but still not good enough delivery. Wellens - 7 - One of his better performances, moved the ball slightly faster than normal and his attempts at spectacular passes were more accurate King - 6 - linked well with defence and attack but did shirk away from taking the game by the scruff of it's neck. Danns - 5 - good player at palace but I'm still not seeing it here Gallagher - 6 - average. Nugent - 7 - toiled well but a bit slow on the ball at times Howard - 5 - I like him but he's not a long term option and on the border of not being good enough for this division, today drove that point home Subs: Johnson - 6 - generally good on the ball but didn't offer much Beckford - 6.5 - best I've seen him play, chased more and looked desperate to prove himself Schlupp - 5 - linked well once with Konchesky but overall not involved much.
Guesty Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 6-Some dodgy kicking but couldn't do anything about the goal. Peltier: 6- Re-active but not pro-active Bamba: 7- Solid and some nice skills apart from the one time he lost it leaving us exposed. Mills: 7- Did ok but does make some daft decisions sometimes. Konchesky: 8- Got forward a lot and was left exposed a lot but delt well with it. Gallagher: 5- 2 bad shots and pulls out of too many 50/50's. King: 4- Usual King, if he doesn't score he does very little. Wellens: 6- Played some nice balls. Danns: 4- Not a left winger and it showed did a bit better when moved to the right. Howard: 6- Won a lot of his headers but no one got on the end of them (Not really his fault). Still very slow though. Nugent: 6- Worst game I've seen him play for us. But at least when hes not playing well he still puts a shift in. Subs Beckford looked lively other 2 didn't really do anything. We need some proper wingers with pace, far too narrow.
wellsy Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Kasper - 6 - did what he needed to do, some dodgy moments but still passionate. No chance with the goal. Peltier - 6 - attempted to get forward but when you have Danns playing there you would expect more support from the midfielder. Bamba - 8 - another great performance, if we don't go up we will do well to hold on to him. Mills - 7 - solid, we look better with him in the team rather than SSL. Konchesky - 7 - looked good, didn't give up and worked hard. Danns - 5 - terrible. May be playing out of position but when your playing wide of the midfield you're expected to attack the full backs and that never happened today. King - 5 - wouldn't know he was on the pitch. Wellens - 6 - worked hard but to no avail, still prefer Gelson Fernandes to be in the starting 11. Gallagher - 6 - tried, ran after a few but not possessing the creative spark he once had, would rather see an out and out winger on the left (Dyer). Nugent - 7 - Ran after every lost cause, but was running on empty in the chances department, needs feeding; not the sort to make something of nothing. Howard - 6 - as much as I love the big man, it didn't work today, should have started Schlupp/Beckford.
Father Ted Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Can't believe the Howard haters. He did what he had to do. He won his balls (when he wasn't being assaulted by the dirtiest player around - hooooooooof Kisnorbo) and laid the ball off - simples and it moved us about 50/60 yards up the pitch...
Guest NGoloMode Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 How is Howard starting games for us? He was past it two seasons ago, that performance was pathetic. We could get a better striker from non league for 20k. Because he was great against West Ham and Beckford was shit and Vassell is injured.
Fox92 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Kasper 5 - Some terrible goal kicks again. Peltier 7 - Decent in defence and going forward. Mills - 7 - Solid. Bamba - 8 - Solid, but poor in the air in the offensive half. Konchesky - 6 - No support because the left winger kept coming inside. Wellens - 7 - Drove the team forward. Danns - 5 - Out of position again. King - 4 - Did nothing really, again. Gally - 3 - F**k off to Blackburn. Too lightweight. Doesn't get stuck in and comes inside too much leaving Konchesky with no support or option. Nugent - 6 - Ran a lot. Howard - 5 - Good option to have, and good in the air, but Nugent wasn't close enough.
Guest ttfn Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel 5 - poor kicking for once Peltier 6 - unconvinced by him defensively Bamba 8 - best player on the pitch Mills 4 - decent first half but a pub league standard clearance which led to the goal. Konchesky 7 - the only one moving off the ball Gallagher 6 - too lightweight but did at least try to put himself about. King 4 - don't normally go along with the "invisible" brigade but he did virtually nothing today. Wellens 5 - played some nice passes but he is central to our biggest weakness. We do not move the ball fast enough through midfield. Danns 4 - I want him to be good, but he was very poor today. Howard 5 - good battle with Kisnorbo but his flick-ons weren't accurate. Nugent 5 - poor first touch today, fackin ran about a bit Beckford looked a little better today and took up some decent positions. Worst I've seen us this season. Another good chance to get in the top 6 wasted.
LCFCstriker Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Not the result we wanted but a couple of positives; beckford looked better (actually looked interested and made a couple of good runs), bamba, peltier and knochesky also looked pretty good
Alf Bentley Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Much too much moaning and despair on here. Yes, we didn't move the ball quick enough or shoot early or gamble with runs, but we weren't that bad. On another day, we'd have won. Hard fact is Leeds produced an excellent defensive away performance, no doubt motivated by their 0-5 hammering mid-week. They were well organised, ferocious in closing us down - and managed to take almost their only chance. Shit happens! Schmeichel 7 Little to do, no chance with goal, +1 for good distribution Peltier 7 Thought both full-backs contributed more than usual Konchesky 7 Ditto Mills 6 OK but still shaky at times & some poor distribution Bamba 8 Class act defensively & in possession, odd error notwithstanding Gallagher 6 OK, but a bit rusty Wellens 6.5 Decent some good balls King 6.5 Lots of simple passes and off-ball movement go unnoticed Danns 6.5 OK, getting better - more to come, though MIDFIELD AS A WHOLE NEED TO MOVE BALL QUICKER AGAINST DEFENSIVE TEAMS! Nugent 6 Things didn't quite work for him today; still a class act Howard 6.5 Decent flicks & distribution, unfairly treated by ref Johnson 6 OK Beckford 6.5 Looked to have more desire...may still have a future here Schlupp 6.5 Looked sharp in his 5 minutes Ref 3 Most of our yellows were merited, but he constantly missed Leeds petty fouls, and even a blatant push in area Leeds fans 8 Sorry, I don't like them either but they're louder than anyone else at this level
reynard Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel 6 Not at fault for the goal but there was a couple of dodgy kicks and he just continues to more often than not hand back possession with his fruitless long clearances. Peltier 7 Though he did quite well today though he is so limited going forward in comparison to previous right backs we've had. Bamba 7 Again spectacular and lucky at the same time though he did make one bad mistake. Mills 4 Poor clearance which led to the goal. Lost several headers, poor distribution again and two woeful back passes which put Schmeichel in a difficult position. Why is he captain he shows no leadership on the pitch at all. reading must be laughing all he way to the bank. Konchesky 7 I thought he did ok. Got forward quiete well though his final ball in wasn't always very good. Wellens 6 Some good stuff in the first half but faded badly in the second. Slowed the game down too much at times. King 3 Very very ineffective. He simply offered almost nothing today. Gallagher 5 Didn't really have much impact on the game. Too slow and again slows the game down too much at times. Danns 2.5 Should have been replaced in the first half. Didn't look interested. offered and offers next to nothing. Howard 5 One or two good touches in the first half but faded in the second. He's an impact sub these days and not much more. His lack of mobility is a big hinderence to our attacking play Nugent 5 Though he was very average today. Worked hard but to little effect. Beckford 5 Ok and probably should have been on earlier. Johnson 4 What did he do? Schlupp N/A Should have come on more than 7 minutes from time. Management Shown to be not up to it today. Need a new manager quickly.
????? Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 i cant believe we payed 22 times more for mills than we did for bamba
wurmer Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Schmeichel: 6 Peltier: 6 Bamba: 8 - our MoM - had the measure of them, some great tackles. Mills: 6 Konchesky : 6 Danns: 4 - If he spent as much time running as he did standing moaning about decisions, he would be OK. Wellans: 5 King: 5 - the invisible man, again... Gallagher: 5 Nugent :8 - moments of class, ran after everything, never gave up Howard: 5 Beckford: 7 - looked bright, hoof and hope isn't gonna help his style of game, and that's what we were doing when he came on.. Johnson: 5 Ref: 5 Linesman running centre - Kop: 2 - Useless Leeds Fans: 0, thats +10 for for volume, much louder than our lot and sang throughout the game, -10 for singing/shouting during the minutes silence, twats.
absolutelegend Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 All below par today, except Bamba who was exceptional (as per normal). He's good enough to play at a much higher level than this
Guest ttfn Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 All below par today, except Bamba who was exceptional (as per normal). He's good enough to play at a much higher level than this I think he'd fit in at any team in the country other than the big 6. Maybe even include Arsenal in that actually. Edit: not Arsenal. Got a bit carried away there.
