jamesmilner Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 That's really stretching it. I reckon I could do him over 100 meters. with ya wellies on ?
thybluefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He's done as well/as poorly as any other midfielder would have done playing in that position.
Kitchandro Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Good for you. But he has more pace than Wellens, King, Johnson, Abe etc I don't think he's quicker than King. He's the slowest black player I've ever seen. We need pace out wide more than anything, we haven't bought the right players.

Guest Col city fan Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 You have to realise he is out of position. I would prefer him over the King in central midfield. Danns is the only midfielder with pace. I usually agree with you mate but this is bollox.. Did you not see Danns when he charged the ball down at the end of the first half, was a yard in front of the defender and what did he do? Run in on goal and slide it past the keeper? No.. Instead he ran on, realised he did not have the pace, cut back and tried to give it to Nugent and the chance was gone. An outstanding, blatant example of how Danns IS NOT quick.. Not at all For me, danns has been the most disappointing of Svens signings. I genuinely thought he was much better than he is
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 You have to realise he is out of position. I would prefer him over THAT SLOW TWAT WELLENS in central midfield. Danns is the only midfielder with pace. Fixed.
Number 6 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I was absolutely chuffed when we signed him. Was awful today. I won't write him off when we've been sticking him out wide though, in the right system I think he could turn it around. He needs to put a foot in though.
Libertine Dream Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 His position is king's position and being as King is often being marked out of games him and King should swap every few games to keep the opposition guessing. When we played Palace last year he ran the midfield in that position.
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Good player not been very good today thought he did well at Burnley though.
joeybside Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Get him in his natural position as opposed to King and Wellens who I am sick of having the same twitter argument about.
LCFC FOX Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Danns is quality. Only bad game hes had today and hes got the most energy out of all our player but maybe dyer.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Danns is quality. Only bad game hes had today and hes got the most energy out of all our player but maybe dyer. What on earth have you seen of Danns this season to make you think 'he's quality' I thought he was at Palace, not now.. Please enlighten us
LCFC FOX Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 What on earth have you seen of Danns this season to make you think 'he's quality' I thought he was at Palace, not now.. Please enlighten us He just don't stop running. Apart from today. If he played in his actual position he would be quality. He just gives is all and tries 100%
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He just don't stop running. Apart from today. If he played in his actual position he would be quality. He just gives is all and tries 100% And all this effort makes him 'Quality' Please don't say your basing your argument solely on him trying hard! lol
carterfox90 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 at palace he was a good player but this season he has become shocking we have to many midfielders who just do the same job oh how we need a muzzy again !!!!!
Teapot. Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I'm not being funny or anything but I think that Danns was actually one of the better performers today. He did more than King for definite. Plus, as everyone has said... He is playing in a wrong position.
Kitchandro Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He just don't stop running. Apart from today. If he played in his actual position he would be quality. He just gives is all and tries 100% Trying is trying. Trying and quality are two different things.
Thracian Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He's no damned good in wide midfield and I don't think he has enough impact generally. But our entire midfield is malfunctioning and will continue to do so without Vassell and Dyer. Why we have no winger replacements I've no idea but while we talk about being a professional outfit, it's only words. Our team is totally out of balance at the moment.

And everybody knows what happened the last time we had square pegs in round holes don't we?
Bettsy82 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Awful player no pace no passing ability no desire to win a tackle. All round poor footballer chance just before half time when he was clean through was shocking. Big ego aswell should stick to music cos his footballs shit.

He's playing out of position, but agreed he has been playing poor for us!
Zingari Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He's playing out of position, but agreed he has been playing poor for us! Come on Doc , that’s not the attitude . Both you and I know in our line of work we have to be good in any position. It’s no good under performing . If the boss wants you a playing bit deeper or probing the channels we have to perform.
