undey Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 With Pearson on the cards, do you think he should bring back Hobbs and Fryatt with him?
Houdini Logic Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I rated both players when they were here, and even still I'd say no and no
Happy Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 A unaminous no, we already have a Hobbs on the books in Mills.

cc_star Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Pearson? I hope so, that way we can have more Pearson threads Hobbs? I'd swap him for SSL in a heartbeat Fryatt? Scoring 1 in 3... better than we have at the mo & in a similarly low scoring side - But I think Nuge is better & if we can get Schlupp or Beckford scoring they're both better prospects than Fryatt
boring_jester Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I like Hobbs. He will be a big premiership player one day.
undey Posted 7 November 2011 Author Posted 7 November 2011 Cheers guys, seem's as though not many of you want them back, what about any other former players we had under Pearson?
blueredswed Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 With Pearson on the cards, do you think he should bring back Hobbs and Fryatt with him? lay down this thread!Close it....done and delivered!

cc_star Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Cheers guys, seem's as though not many of you want them back, what about any other former players we had under Pearson? Gradel Wouldn't say no to Cleverly & Spearing either, would do more of a job than Danns & co in the middle, but I can't see either of them happening
kingfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I hated Hobbs, didn't rate him at all, many people will disagree however. And Fryatt nah, he had his chance like Hume both were quality players but he can stay with Hull aka Fish Smelling City.
Kitchandro Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Pearson? I hope so, that way we can have more Pearson threads Hobbs? I'd swap him for SSL in a heartbeat Fryatt? Scoring 1 in 3... better than we have at the mo & in a similarly low scoring side - But I think Nuge is better & if we can get Schlupp or Beckford scoring they're both better prospects than Fryatt I can see where you're coming from in regard to St Ledger. Even Mills isn't head and shoulders above Hobbs, and is worse than he was in our play-off season. I don't think he'd be worth buying though, I'd rather recall Tunchev or get someone else if we need another centre back. I liked Fryatt and he was decent when he was here, but he'll never be anything more than an average Championship striker. Nugent is far better, Schlupp more promising, Howard offers something different, Vassell has more pace and Beckford is much better when on form, so I pretty much agree with that too.
RowlattsFox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 No, Nugent is much better than Fryatt, as is Beckford if NP can sort him out (not entirely sure this will happen though, Pearson struggled with ego players before). No point in Fryatt, although I do still think he's decent. I would take Hobbs back, if we needed a defender, but we don't with Bamba, Mills, St Ledger and Tunchev.
flowwolf Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 everyone is forgetting Waggy! Yes it's not a bad idea :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
