Libertine Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Hope so. Though he's bound to say that. Still can't see them featuring much, we have way too many CMs.
Libertine Dream Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Fernandes I'll have in the team if he still plays for LCFC and doesn't strop because Sven's not there. Johnson may aswell go, clearly his injuries have taken a toll, too slow, always a simple pass and very unfit.

Pearson's team will get him to proper fitness also.

Guest Col city fan Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 It's a long season and we need a big squad. I'm sure they'll contribute in some way.
dannythefox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 He's not going to say there not wanted! My mate who's a massive man city fan goes all the time and really knows his stuff thinks if Johnson get playing well again for us he will get in the city squad which I find hard to believe but that's what he thinks. Even compared him to Gerrard

Even compared him to Gerrard He was by all means a quality talent, but at the time he was playing for City there squad was not great...never in a million years will he get into that team now
Corky Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 If Fernandes still wants to be here we'd be silly to discard him. Johnson I don't know really.
Kitchandro Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Johnson hasn't looked match fit to me at all.
oadby_fox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 wouldn't be overly sad to see either of them go tbh.
berniethebolt Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 These players are not written off. Pearsons only been in charge one game and the season is extremely long, plus a cr*p game from either king or wellens hands them their chance.
StanSP Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Johnson hasn't looked match fit to me at all. God knows why
funkyrobot Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Johnson was class for man city before he got injured. I think he would've ousted someone like Gary Barry in their current squad and in the England squad. Pearson will give him extra time to see if he can ever get back to where he was - it's difficult to get match fit when you aren't getting match time. If I had a choice between a fully fit Johnson and Fernandes, I'd go for Johnson.
Kitchandro Posted 25 November 2011 Posted 25 November 2011 God knows why The fact that he started a couple of games suggested Sven thought different, so I thought it was worth saying.

Sorry, I probably was being a bit too flippant. Just with long injuries he has had it takes ages to get to full match fitness. Plus, being around players who play constantly - Wellens, King etc... - wouldn't have helped his cause much, as he would be compared to those.

He looks a composed player on the ball but still looks to be carrying weight and runs out of puff too quickly. I think we can do better this season than a semi fit player who seems to be finding it tough to regain fitness.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 25 November 2011 Posted 25 November 2011 I understand that but to me he is to similar to King and Wellens, two players I'd rather have. too similar to two completely different player? excellent!
