We need another Taggart Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Leicester City will start their Championship campaign at Bramall Lane in front of the SKY television cameras. The Foxes' clash against Sheffield United has been chosen as the first game of the campaign to be broadcast live - with the 3pm kick-off time being brought forward to 12:45pm on Saturday, August 6. It finished honours even between the two sides last season - City winning 3-2 at home and United gaining a 2-0 victory in the return fixture. WOOOP!
Ric Flair Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Excellent! Not so excellent for fans planning on going to the game, early bird catches the worm though!
Shum Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Ahh I dunno what to do now, save £40 and watch it at home or go and embrace in the atmosphere of an opening day fixture....
Katy Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Ahh I dunno what to do now, save £40 and watch it at home or go and embrace in the atmosphere of an opening day fixture.... 128893 Decisions decisions, Id bloody go if I could afford it.

Durnerz Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 watch the first game away on sky then go to the first home match! best of both worlds! 128911 Indeed.
C-man Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 I remember the last time we were on TV there. Brian Deane gave us the lead and they won 2-1, their second coming 6 minutes into injury time
filbertway Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Its nice to hear for the fans that cant get there, lets hope we get them back for last time we were on telly
Teeno Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 TV ... in a pub - i'm on holiday! 128924 Snap Wahoo
Wellman Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 That's great news for me Wasn't going to go to Sheffield so I'll just now watch it on the box
rossporterlc Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 awesome, means i can see it as i can only afford about 3 away games a season
Anish Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Boo (another moan) So much for the traditional 3pm kickoff on the first day of the season On a selfish note, this might make it easier to get a ticket as Leicester fans may be inclined to watch it on TV rather than make the trip up to Sheffield...here's hoping anyway.
lush Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 good news for CL, as this early dosh could sway a pottential singing. Cant remember what the first game of last season on tv was, but the season before, west ham won 2-1 away at preston and went on to the play-off final.
Matt Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 WOOHOO! I was gutted the first game of the season was away but i'm well happy with this!
Hitesh Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 Hmm...finish work at 1pm that day, and i hope im not workin in the evening at my other job! I wouldnt mind goin to the pub to watch it. But its all good....get to watch the first 2 games!!
lush Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 How come sky`s website doesnt confirmed this game? or any for that matter.

You could be priority 2, which would almost certainly guarantee you getting a ticket. The upside of an early kick off would mean more drinking time afterwards.

Knighton Matt Posted 28 June 2005 Posted 28 June 2005 couldn't this have been done by pm rather than in a thread? 129264 Maybe Ryan could have said he hated me via the gift of PM 129265 I'm sure he doesn't hate you he probably just went a lot further than he realised and I'm sure once he's realised the offence he's caused he'll duly apologise. I feel I myself must apologise for turning into Trisha rather too easily for my liking! Feel the love guys! 129271 I really hope this doesn't affect our attendance too adversely. To not sell out our allocation for the first game of the season would be a big shame in my opinion...
adam Posted 29 June 2005 Posted 29 June 2005 best news ive ever heard. i can watch it with the lads on holiday now!!
