gazfox9 Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 The new Wembley for me. Fantastic stadium in every way. A total fcuk up all the way through planning and building, hugely over budget too, but the end result was well worth the wait.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 The MCG maybe a slightly biased opinion but for me it really is the home of sport. Seen some amazing AFL games there and there is nothing better than 100,000 screaming lunatics on watching a thrilling match. Also seen some great cricket matches, football, both codes of rugby and even the Commenwealth games track events. I'm just thankful my dad put me down on the membership waiting list when i was a kid as the wait for memberships is now out to 22 years. Also Flemington Racecourse is pretty special on one of the big days around the Melbourne cup Carnival
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Sadly probably Twikkenham. EDIT: or could be this... Which of course is the finish of the Tour De France.
Karljohn Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Nou Camp, went to a midweek game v Valencia, really special under the floodlights.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Top thread by MattP by the way. I noticed quite a few posts by members who tend not to... It`s brought a lot of old memories back to all...

Durnerz Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 San Siro for me, always wanted to visit it from being a small child and got my wish in my first european match Inter vs Catania, incredible venue. Also more recently an 80,000 sell out at Signal Iduna Park Dortmund was awesome.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 It's not massive - and I hate to admit it but the city ground in shottingham. Been to a game there but also ran round the pitch when it's empty on a non-machday and it does have a lot of character and looks quite big when your low down. Other than that though the obvious Wembley and Nou Camp but also Man Citys stadium when we played them in the cup I was near the front and was blown away by the size of the place!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 The new Wembley for me. Fantastic stadium in every way. A total fcuk up all the way through planning and building, hugely over budget too, but the end result was well worth the wait. It's spectacular to look at. Nothing else. Tossers for stewards, shite atmosphere, overpriced beer and food, queues too long for the bogs, not allowed outside for a fag. I really hope we never end up there
Walker Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Stadio Flaminio- Italy's rugby union home. Got tickets for a six nations game against Wales and loved it. Very simplistic ground, but the atmosphere and backdrop are very special
AmericanScott Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Melbourne Cricket Ground , pretty amazing Citi Field , home of the METS . went to watch a Mets vs Bronx Scum game there this summer. the atmosphere was incredible That's Shea stadium circa 2006. The new stadium being built in the picture to the right is Citi Field. I'm a massive Mets fan and have been my entire life. Shea Stadium was so much better than Citi Field for atmosphere. Citi seems to be a cursed ground for us so far. I've plus 1'd your post and made some adjustments in bold Also, for those that are interested, my cat is called Shea after the stadium Edit: this is Citi Field btw
Stuliasz Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 - La Bombonera - the atmosphere is something else, especially in one of the BA clasicos! - Camp Nou - one of the greatest teams in one of the greatest stadiums in one of the greatest cities. - Maracana - was only a quarter full for the game i saw but so much history there - MCG - saw an Aussie Rules match there, excellent stadium - Yankee Stadium - amazing stadium, can't believe so many pack in to watch baseball so many nights a year - Fenway Park - not a huge fan of American sport but this place felt vintage with a lot of history - Old Wembley - only went once for the Leicester Tranmere final but very special thinking about the great sporting moments that have happened there
Jace Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I was quite impressed with the o2 good for noise Never got a chance to go here but looks quite impressive in pictures

It really wasn't, one of the blandest most oppressive least atmospheric grounds i've ever had the misfortune to visit.

purpleronnie Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 sounds like a horrific experience It was pretty bad, TBH going to see england play there wasn't the best way to critique the stadium, I'm sure an FA cup final or playoff final would be better, but I doubt I'll ever watch a game there again, it summed up everything that was wrong with our modern stadiums and modern football in general.

I have been there twice 1st time to see Truro City Vs Totten in the FA Vase final the other time to watch England Vs Montenegro the atmosphere at the Truro game was far more electrifying
RonnieTodger Posted 7 December 2011 Posted 7 December 2011 Millennium Stadium for British Speedway Grand Prix or Nou Camp to watch Barcelona beat Boca Juniors 2-1. May have only been a friendly, but great noise
