artursteppe Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 O'Neil has stated today that he has two games to get the fans behind him because 'this is a results business'. This is the same O'Neil who in his Irish girly way never forgot the now famous 200 who voiced their dissatisfaction with him after seven poor performances during an away match at Sheffield United. Arsehole! He never appreciated that after that match he became the most adored manager in English football since Bill Shankley of Liverpool. He persistently referred to the derision, never the adoration. I really hope Sunderland get relegated and he is sacked for the first time.
cc_star Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 He referred back to that to keep us eating out the palm of his hand, nothing wrong with that. Good luck to him, responsible for the most successful period in the modern era, he'll always be a legend.

If you're gonna try to have a pop at someone at least try to get their name right.
artursteppe Posted 6 December 2011 Author Posted 6 December 2011 Slip of the finger. You did for ever single time you spelt his name. Our greatest manager ever and you can't spell his name. Do you mean 'every' single time? Mistakes are easily made you know. EVERY is not a difficult word to spell.

You are right how dare O'Neill hold a grudge against Leicester fans for being fickle and not giving him a chance to prove himself. Our fans always give managers a fair chance.....

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 Sunderland can crash and burn for all i care but Martin will always be a god in true Leicester fans eyes
Dan Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 This thread's fvcking worrying. The main focuses being a mis-spell and the fact he put Sheff Utd as away and not home. Jesus.
Jace Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 I don't know who is right or wrong all I know is Martin O Neill would never ever sell Kasper Schmeichel for 5 to 8 million!!
Thracian Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 Sunderland can crash and burn for all i care but Martin will always be a god in true Leicester fans eyes He's been and gone. He'll end up like Clough. The question now is whether Pearson will stay and surpass his achievements. No. I don't think he's good enough but I hope he is.
Tielemans63 Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 I doubt NP will surpass MON's achievements although I do think he'll get us into the Prem - probably next season and that we'll stay there for a while.
artursteppe Posted 6 December 2011 Author Posted 6 December 2011 Sunderland can crash and burn for all i care but Martin will always be a god in true Leicester fans eyes Let me clarify, I was at every final, Wembley and Hillsborough. I loved every minute of it all. I travelled home and away. It was great. I just always thought that O'Neill was a 'knob' because he never showed any appreciation for the fans who adored him. He only ever referred to the '200' at Sheffield United. I wasn't one of them' Please understand my point, he hated the '200' after seven matches but will understand if Sunderland fans hate him after two matches if he loses them both.
Fox92 Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 I thought his press conference was good, and quite funny. I will always like him and wish him the best success/luck at Sunderland (apart from if they play Leicester, of course).
Ambitious Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 Why did we never put up more of a fight to keep this guy? could never understand...
Jace Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 Why did we never put up more of a fight to keep this guy? could never understand... Because he said we had no chance as he was a Celtic fan and they were the only club he would leave us for, turns out he was a Sunderland fan!?
Fox92 Posted 6 December 2011 Posted 6 December 2011 Because he said we had no chance as he was a Celtic fan and they were the only club he would leave us for, turns out he was a Sunderland fan!? In certain place's, like where Martin is from, people have their first club (Celtic), but also an English club. His was Sunderland when everybody else followed Leeds and Liverpool.

Surely he is just stating this as fact and an indication of how things are these days as opposed to actually agreeing with the sentiment?
