Players to sign in Jan aka wish list

The fact he bid for wingers shows he knew that we were weak in that area and had been for quite some time. The fact we got none of them (he also was in for Pilkington) shows how few decent wingers there are available. Which wingers would you have bought in?

Yes but he obviously didn't see it as a priority, did he? If he had realised how important it was to get a winger in he would have got one. He wasn't here to make excuses, he was here to get the job done.

There are decent wingers available that's why other clubs have had them over the years with the same amount and less money than us.

A winger.

As for specifics I'm not the manager, that's his bloody job.

I think the fact you can't name a winger demonstrates the problem that we and many clubs have, there aren't any available. If Sven had neglected to bid for a winger I think he'd be open to criticism but the fact that those he bid for moved to the Premiership shows he had the right idea. Now the fact that Nigel Pearson felt that lloyd Dyer and Danny N'Guessan are better options than Max Gradel shows he has no idea.

We need an inside linebacker, two wide receivers and maybe a tight end.

Then Richie can sit in front of the back 4 and quarterback the game to his hearts content......

Two wingers - Right and left wingers - Cameron Stewart is worth a bid. Not sure who else yet.

Mobile target man - Nigel likes to play direct (hence why he brought Adebola for Hull, and picks Howard at Leicester) but sadly Howard isn't mobile enough. Need a mobile target man, someone like Chris Wood.

Its looking like its gonna be a tough ol season this one.. Truly does

It's one thing having 10 mill, another completely getting good players that want to join us.

Sharp has been linked with the Saints.. He'd be mad not to go at present.

And offloading won't be easy either.

What a fookin pickle!

If Pearson's looking to sign a striker I'd go for Lukas Jutkiewicz from Coventry. I'm friends with a lot of Cov fans and they say the only three players that bother to turn up to Coventry's games are him, Gary Gardner and Gael Bigirimana. Jutkiewicz is like a more mobile Steve Howard, whenever I've seen him play.

Talking wingers, I think it'd be wise to at least attempt to go for players like Andros Townsend. Center-mid wise I heard Darren Gibsons open to a loan move to the Champoship

With regards to Pearson, Hull and wingers: didn't he sign Robbie Brady on loan from Man Utd?

The player I would like to see us sign is Jordan Rhodes. I was at Hillsborough on Saturday and within 2 minutes I was impressed with what I saw. I said to my friend (wednesday fan) that he will be a real danger in this match. He dismissed my comment with 'our defence will have him in their pocket.' I think you all know what happened next....

If Sven had bought better players than the ones we already had he wouldn't be playing the old guard.

Sven did buy better players, Schmeichal better than Weale, Peltier better than Neilson, Konchesky better than Berner, Mills better than Morrison, Bamba better than Hobbs, Nugent better than Fryatt, Beckford better than Waghorn. In midfeild I'd say Fernandes or Johnson are better than Gallagher and Wellens but Nige wont play them.

If Sven had bought some wingers we wouldn't be in desperate need for wingers.

Nigel had two years to buy wingers. He sold Gradel and bought Dyer, N'Guessan and Adams.

I am pretty certain that if Nigel Pearson and his team (Steve Walsh) were given £15 odd million in terms of budget he would not purchase Dyer, N'Guessan or Adams.

Sven should have bought players who were better, he had far more resource and a far bigger story of potential promotion.

Sven may have bought in Fernandes and Johnson but even he did not start them always ahead of Wellens, King and Gallagher did he? Didn't Sven love Wellens about as much as Pearson does?

Sven bought in some good players in the summer but he did not do a good enough job in terms of coverage which is why Nige is struggling now. Too many players in one or two areas and too little in others. You cannot blame Nige for the calibre of player available too him at the moment as I am sure given a summer he would not set us up with a squad like the one we've got now. To compare the purchasing ability of Pearson and Sven is completely unfair given the huge different in budgets and status at the time.

Sven bid for Routledge and Kebe, tried to get loans in the form of Andros Townsend and (last season only) Wright Phillips. The squad that Sven and Sousa inherited contained Dyer and N'Guessan. If anyone can recall the last time we scored from a cross from either of these players I'd be fascinated to know when it was. Remember Matt Oakley the winger under Pearson? Why do people think Nigel will bring in a raft of wingers, his Hull side were hardly renowned for the wing wizardry.

snigger!!

Must of been a great game to go and watch that.

You're going to laugh at this, I'm sure...

Jermain Defoe has been mentioned by a source that he's thinking of a loan deal in January.

I know it's probably ludicrous, but we can dream, eh?

Players In:

Sharp (Doncaster)

Kebe (Reading) or Adomah (Bristol City)

Koren (Dull)

Townsend (Spurs) Loan

Players Out

Weale

Oakley

Howard

Ball

I'd be happy with that!

I just don't think they will come.

Sven had the same problems with these type of in demand targets.

Players in : Sharp/Maynard Juke box Adomoah. Stewart. Koren/Ambrose/Butterfield. Cunningham. Smithies. Players out: Weale. Ball. Wellens. Johnson ( send back ). Moussa ( loan ). Howard. Schlupp ( loan ). I think all these signings would be realistic bar from smithies proberbly ?

FFS. Do you really think bringing in ANOTHER 7 players will help us to get anywhere near promotion this season? We must have around the highest turn over of players iin the top 2 divisions in the last 3-4 seasons. Along with regular changing of a manager we are still no nearer to getting into the Prem.2 wide playes and a decent CM will suffice for now.

I honestly don't think we will achieve anything this season. therefore would bring in players in jan before the new fiancial rule comes in, Then the players will have half a season to settle, then start a fresh next year with pearsons players and the players themselves knowing each others game!!

Do you think they will come to us if we are willing to wriote the rest of the season off in Jan? I very much doubt it.

This season is not written off yet, i've seen two seasons where we we're promoted when around this time we looked dire, the season Little got us up when we we're injury ravaged and got some real pasting's, Notts Co. 4 goals against and a dreadful hammering on the TV at forest are still lingering in my memory :|

The season O'niell took us up we we're drifting to mid table with numerous dire draws.

Both seasons turned around sharply with injured player's returning or new ones coming in, in footy it truly is never over until the the fat Klingon sticks his bat'lev or whatever you call it up your rear

And this.

How come I couldn't multiquote to save my life a few weeks ago and now I've learnt to do it by accident? lol

Billy Sharp and Mark Davies.

All we need.

I was starting to wonder if Davies was possible with him being bottom of the league, then I thought; maybe if we were looking like getting promoted. But no, he wouldn't come.

He's the kind of player we need though.
