Players to sign in Jan aka wish list

Don't think Kris Boyd is who we're looking for, tends to shy away from it in the big games. Good against the poorer teams in the SPL but struggled against European teams/Celtic and never really showed it for Scotland.

Andy Driver could be alright, but has been crippled for ages at Hearts and probably isn't worth bringing in to just play the odd game here and then, if he could get a decent run of games I think he'd be a good Championship winger.

Would like to see us replace Howard, bring in Townsend on loan and look to get in a centre midfielder be it on loan or on a permanent basis.

Some funny targets in this thread. Sigurdsson and Huddlestone to name two. lol

we could get Huddlestone on loan along with Townsend

Stan Petrov might be leaving Villa apparently. His experience and workrate would be invaluable.

Would be a class signing. I can see another prem club or a top flight european team snapping him up though

There is already enough quality within the squad to be punishing this league! Nugent has proved himself as a goalscorer, and seems to be enjoying himself, like he did at preston! Waghorn and Schlupp would be great left/right forwards, with beckford, dyer and gallagher as competition. King, fernandes and wellens in the middle. The talent is there, it's upto NP now!

Have you seen how King and Wellens have been playing recently?

We could do a lot worse than having a look at Simon Church.. Another good striker looking to make the step up and with a point to prove.

If we spend money on Maynard I'll give up, he's overrated and over priced average player, in a position we only need cover for. put all the money we have into one or two class midfielders that all's needed this January and then look to strengthen again in the summer.

yeah I agree, midfield is priority, centre and wingers. A forward would just be a bonus but definitely only need cover for that position with waggy coming back

Don't know whether anyone's mentioned him, but I wouldn't mind a move for Keith Andrews.

Think nobodies mentioned him because he's really average, don't think I've ever seen him have a great game. Maybe scores the odd goal but in general is pretty poor.

Barnsley midfielder (and captain) Jacob Butterfield could leave in January if someone offeres £2m (according to the BBC Championship pages) - maybe the type of player Nige wants here, and possibly has leadership qualities that we have lacked in recent seasons. The sale of a few of our CM's would certainly free up the monies

Sounds quite a lot like one of our current midfielders

As a winger, nathan dyer anyone? not getting much playing time at swansea and he ripped up this league!

He has been playing quite regularly from what I remember, but he is currently injured which is why he hasn't been playing

someone has stated :

Leicester who have looked to bolster their attack with a bid to resign Matty Fryatt from Hull, rejoining his former club and manager.

Pearson has also looked to the Premier League and enquired into the prices of Kenwyne Jones of Stoke, currently warming the bench, Ricardo Fuller in a similar situation and Sammy Ameobi on loan from Newcastle.

ignore the Fatty Mryatt rumour what do people think about the other players ???
