I signed Johnson mid-way through the season so it was Carcela and Bentley playing for a while. Bentley made himself undroppable with an average rating of about 7.3. Really surpised me as his stats aren't the greatest.

Is Mceachran worth another loan ? Darron Gibson was great for me, picked up on a free as he left Man United. Jonjo Shelvey on a season loan also performed admirably.

If you want just a normal CM then I picked up McDonald Mariga on a free, he was reliable for the 2 years I had him, Tiote isn't bad, Cork is also worth a shout, as was said above Shelvey would be a decent acquisition and I know of people who have managed to get Cleverley at this stage. If you want an AM then as I said before Sigurdsson is the one or Mkhitaryan might be worth a shot and Wijnaldum would be a great signing but your unlikely to sign him.

Ozwin Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 How are people (who are doing well at this game) setting up their defence? I have a flat back 4, FB(S), CB(D), CB(D), FB(S) and I like to think my defenders are pretty good, but I'm conceding a bit too many for my liking.

Just a little disappointed with crashing out of the LC to Sheffield United These are my transfers, haven't signed anyone on a perm, just bought in some talent on loan for the season. Tried to offload Ball on a perm but no interest so sent him on loan to put him in the shop window. Offered out Oakley, Howard, Moreno and Kennedy but no takers Got rid of most staff and employed my own Playing 4-2-3-1 attacking, cover and stopper combo at centre half and wing back and inside right Table so far My results and goalscorers, clearly McCarthy and Kisnorbo still love City Beckford tearing it up As is Fleck

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 First season was sitting in 7ths with 2 games to go but got the results to sneak in to 6th. Beat West Ham 4 nil at home first leg and then 4-3 away. Won 1 nil against Burnley in Play Off final. Only really brought Matt Phillips who was a beast. First season in Prem. Bertalichi, Sigurgdson, Pozzi, Fierro, Gugilatochi, Stockdale and Paul Robinson of the left back variety. Sittinging in 11th after 9 games. But just lost league cup game 5 nil and also a lose to Man City 7-1. May need to ask board for some more coin as spent too much on Mids and Forwards that the defence is a championship defence at Best.
