Fox92 Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 The transfer system still lets this game down, BIG TIME. On my game in season 2, the likes of Torres, Essien, Lescott are transfer listed for their values (between £3m and £6m). Nobody is even interested in them and they have been listed for ages. Also Tevez has been listed since the start of the game and also no interest. In reality, these players would have been snapped up by clubs long ago, despite their high wages. Very unrealistic. I know. I got promoted with Leicester and managed to sign both Tevez and Adebayor - both on free's.

Haydos Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Just going back to FM2011 for a sec, does anyone have any good facepacks they'd recommend? Looking for quite a big one with decent pics as well. Finners, I'm sure I've seen you post screenies with nice looking player pics on them....? Cheeeers x PS. Will 2012 packs work on 2011?
DB11 Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 PS. Will 2012 packs work on 2011? Yep. All the same I tend to just use my Facepacks from the previous version until a more updated one is released.
Ozwin Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Finneslag, did you upload your training sets yet? I can't be arsed to do it myself and if you tell me to read that website I will actually kill you.
Finnegan Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 https://www.yousendi...yRStZY1JqQTlVag Tactics and training. I've since tweaked my training schedules to make them heavier for some individuals but they should be the defaults I started off with. The tactics are two one striker systems and one two striker systems, I think. If I remember correctly "Primary" is the two striker system, I used it to get out of the Championship. The best of the three, by far, is the Sankt Pauli one from my German league save. I've currently got them top of the Bundesliga after 8 games and I hadn't conceded a single goal until I played Bayern (3 - 3 draw.) This was a bit surprising, really, given that it's by no means a defensive formation. Your AML should be right footed and will be cutting in a lot, your AMR will more of a traditional winger though I find he actually ended up scoring just as much, if not more, as the AML. The FCSP formation will get you far more goals for your ST than the 41131 formation as well, though both I've had success with. Oh. And with the FCSP formation, make sure you tone down the long shots of the AMC if he's shit at it.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 My team looks like this: Schmeichel Konchesky Bamba Mills Pantsil Whittingham Wellens King Kebe Beckford Nugent Subs: Weale Orlandi Abe Peltier Schlupp

Dan Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 I don't care if it's on 11, that's fvcking incredible. lol
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 My Villa team finished 8th, and in the next season I'm currenty 4th ten points ahead of 5th. Bought a lot of good youngsters, though my board just sold one of my best players for 8m which really pissed me off as I had injury problems. In the Carling Cup this season too, made the FA cup final last year and lost. Also I'm in the kncokout of Europa too. Doing well.

My board sold Ajdarevic and Hayes for about 750k combined and Petrescu and Gilbert left in Jan and Lee Cox and Nicolas Priet in July cos they wouldn't sign new contracts. Flogged Elvis Hammond, Robbie Neilsen (when he was 3rd choice RB), Rowe Turner and Robbie Burns. Signed Mee and McGivern on frees in the summer along with some current City youngsters. Nearly had Oakley till he failed his medical. Would have had Chamberlain and Parkes were it not for the ridiculous tribunal costs. Current team; Alnwick Lamey - Mee - McGivern - Sheehan Weso - Dawson Bori - - - Etuhu Crncic - Sappleton SUBS: Cisak O'Neill / Ashton Hellings Adams Kee Ploughed through the Blue Square North with Nuneaton only losing 2 games scoring 134 goals. Sapplezilla was only beaten by Hinckleys Steve Howard in the goal charts. Its a balancing act at the minute to keep as many players as possible without the chairman flogging everyone while maintaining any semblance of a training schedule.
GLC Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 5 years in to my manager career and so far so good. Fox92 Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 In my fifth season with Leicester now.. sitting 5th in the Premier League. Just entered January so so deals maybe likely, but my team currently looks like; Kasper Peltier -- Spence (1.6million) -- Mancienne (free) -- Briggs (£1 - yes, seriously) Howson (2.7million) -- Adam (3million) Sturridge (free) -- Malek (free)-- Albrighton (250k) Tevez (free)
Haydos Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 Don't know what I'm doing on 2011 but it's working. Downloaded a transfer update so all the summer signings are at the right clubs. Beckford and Nugent are an immense partnership, playing Beckford as an advanced striker with Nugent playing as a deep-lying striker in the support role. 5-0 up at HT away at Hull, won 6-0. Next game 4-0 up at HT at home to Leeds, won 6-0. In the league Beckford now has 16 goals and 4 assists in 11 games. Nugent has 9 goals and 7 assists in 10 games. P11, W9, D2, L0, F34, A7, PTS 29. Transfers In Lucas Digne (LB) - 2.4m Javi Garcia (CM) - 1.7m Casemiro (CM) - 3.5m Danny Wilson (CB) - Loan Andres Guardado (LW) - 2.3m Marco Veratti - (AMC) - 1.5m Alexandre Lacazette (RW) - Loan Transfers Out Richie Wellens - 1m Moreno - Loan Berner - 250k Moussa - Loan Abe - 600k
Ozwin Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 Signed Madson for £300k, literally tearing the Premier League a new arse hole.
munf1987 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 Well after finishing my 3rd season with Leicester and coming 4th in the league. Got knocked out of the champions league to CSKA Moscow on the away goal. Not doing so well in the europa league either. Team isnt clicking at the moment, so reverted back to my trusted players that were so good the season before. Trying to turn us into a major force too quickly by signing 'top class players'. Left myself short on wingers so have got Elia coming in Jan. Sold Hoillett for 14.25m after buying him for 10m the season before and got obasi on a free
Simo86 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 In my 3rd season and i've just managed to sign Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling in January. I've also got Antoine Griezmann coming in the summer!!
Darkon84 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 Im STILL in my second season, only just got past christmas (Skyrim has been stealing all my free time lately). Currently sitting 6th in the prem, 4 points ahead of Arsenal, but 4 points behind Spurs in 5th. Needing to buy another proven goalscorer (Quintero is still being an absolute GOD but my backup is shit) and a beast centreback (my centreback partnership is a little one sided with Vertonghen being partnered by Mills or Bamba, as Vorsah has turned out to be shite). Any recommendations from anyone here? Im expecting a boost in cash from sales of Jelavic, Kyle Walker and Van Nistelrooy, so should have a budget of about £16million. Just breezed through my Euro group (won the league cup first season), finishing top, ahead of Genoa, Basel and PSV, so am pretty chuffed with that

Harry Redknapp is turning in his hospital bed.
Fox92 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 You are terrible at this game. Harry Redknapp is turning in his hospital bed. How so? Yeah, it took me three years to get of the Championship (did win the league though), but in my first Premier League season I finished 7th and won the FA Cup. Now, I have just beat Manchester City 1-6 away from home to climb up to 3rd in the Premier League. I think Harry is ok now.
General Smuts Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 That's a championship team. There is no progression there at all.
Fox92 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 That's a championship team. There is no progression there at all. And? You could argue that most of Martin O'Neill's Leicester team was lower league (Muzzy, Lennon, Savage etc) but he got the most out of them and turned them into quality, top division players. That's what the best manager's do, such as Brian Clough. That's what I try and do. Ok, some of them are Championship player's, but I would say that they have turned into your normal average/decent Premier League player's after winning the FA Cup, Charity Shield, and after finishing 7th at the first time of asking and currently sitting 3rd. They are all good achievements. Fair enough, progression is essential, but at the minute, the backbone of the team are playing very, very well. The last thing I want to do is spend ££££ on a big name Premier League player who doesn't deliver. As long as I am avoiding defeat week in week out, I don't really mind how big name the player's are.
