Cleaned up with Leicester including winning the Community Shield, Super Cup, League Cup, Premier League and Champions League in one season. Unbeaten in the league too. Highlights included beating Man C 5-0 away and Barca 7-0 away! Who do you have in your team?

Libertine Dream Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 I honestly wouldn't bother, where's the fun in that? It ruins the game and in my opinion anybody who does it can't claim anything they win. I'm 7 seasons in and have won the league 3 years in a row now, two league cups, two FA Cups, 3Community shields but Lyon ALWAYS knock me out of the champo league.

The only real players in my squad are Jack Robinson, Ezequiel Munoz, Marco Verratti, Jack Rodwell and Mesut Ozil. The rest of the squad is made up entirely of generated players, who incidentally average age are around 23 years old so are only going to get better! Started a new game because that one had got too easy.
Fox92 Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 Liverpool offered me the job. Although I fancied it, there is no challenge as Kenny has been winning everything. So, having built up my fantastic Leicester team over the past 7 seasons, I decided to stay. Got a massive problem now though. The club seems to be insecure in terms of finances. I don't know why. In my 7 years at Leicester never have I gone over the top of my wage budget and never have I spent all of my transfer budget! So, the problem is surely the owners? Anyway, the club have recently announced lossers and we are in the red. I have been trying to sell players, and have made a few million so far but I really don't dare purchase any players because I don't want to tip our finances over the edge!

Started a new game because that one had got too easy. Sounds like the core of my team, Munoz, Verratti, tried to get Robinson. But i have got someone called Turan at Lb and a young brazilian lad at Rb who is on Real Madrid's radar. I have Sturridge, Fierro, A Johnson, E Elia, Wellington, Gago. I have balanced the books in season 4. Keep buying players on the cheap and selling them on. I got Dabo for 1.8m and sold him for 6m a season later. I got sturridge on a free and got offer 17m from Spurs, but i managed to turn this down after his 29 goals in 30 games in season 3. But after season 4 i might be cashing in on him as fierro is starting to outshine him
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 January 2012 Posted 9 January 2012 End of second season. Fergie retired, Man City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Dortumund, Villa, Inter, Tottenham and Arsenal all got sacked and i was linked with all of them. Declined them all as i'm building a formidable young leicester team.

I'm even more annoyed that he signed a new contract about a month ago and he won't enter negotiations so that I can persuade him to stay. Looks like I need a new striker

I remember when Ganso turned down Real Madrid to stick with me at Peterborough, he cost me £34mil and he was going for £45mil, I wish he'd gone, he was never worth what I paid. I tell you a player who's pissing me off, Mario Gotze, he's absolute shite in AMC, shite in AMR, only ever half decent in AML although it seems in Italy a lot of the left wingers are right footed and right sided are left footed. Mateo Kovacic on the other hand, superb playmaker, not getting in above Hamsik yet but he will one day. Hamsik's a weird one, I feel as a second striker/AMC he's very useful, but not exactly a playmaker type of player, or one who'll run at them, he seems a bit like Lampard. Moussa Sissoko also pisses me off, for someone of his stats I have no idea how he only gets 6.98 kind of ratings every year. I use him as a box-to-box. Any reasons for this? This is on 11 btw, but I'm sure those players haven't changed a great deal.

I used to have a Steve Corica game every year in the A-League where i'd get David Oldfield in as AM and try and sign Weso and Tiatto. I'd do the same with the Sounders in the MLS and sign Brek Shea and Josh Lambo. I'm on a fun custom database game at the minute with the mighty Stevenage. Set meself up with as many british wonderkids (-8/9) as possible using the FM Scout list. If not enough brits were available I went with the cheapest wages. Finnegan Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Gotze was shit on 11, dont even bother. Great on 12 though. As for you cm ratings, 11 was quite poor at establishing ratings so I wouldn't take it to heart. I had M'Vila as a complete rock but it didn't give much for tackles and interceptions so he tended to just get 6.9s a lot. He was vital though. It's a bit better on 12, Kara (this year's must-have DMC bargain, btw) regularly gets 7.5 ratings for me, not immense but a bit better. Keep in mind that a good CM will often go a bit un-noticed though and he'll rarely draw the plaudits unless you have him knocking in through balls for assists or goals.

At Pescara at the minute and cannot sign Fierro because of said restrictions. EDIT - 'Yep, one non EU player from abroad per season' this is the rule apparently. You can sign as many non-EU players as you want from Italian clubs though.

kingfox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Thought someone would say that. I was because it flashed Beckford hat-trick, but the 3-1 scoreline stayed at 2-1. And when their player had a shot saved by Kasper the score changed to 2-2. And Rose was yellow carded in the first half, so I subbed him at half time with a load of other players.
