foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 First season got city promoted, only signed Jordan rhodes, josh mceachran loan, kebe and Alex smithies. 2nd season I've signed vaclav kadlec, shawcross, mceachran permanent cuz he was awesome and jerome thomas, 8th with 5 games to play. Worst possible finish is 11th and best is 6th
Narborough_fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Loving my game with Charlton at the minute, me and Sheff United are running away with it. My team is; Ben Amos Chris Solly - Michael Morrison - Matt Taylor - Rhyos Wiggins Kerim Frei - Mikel Alonso - Josh Wright - Johnnie Jackson Yann Kermorgant - Bradley Wright-Phillips Got the likes of Evina, Green, Wagstaff and Schlupp trying to break into the side but with the wingers and strikers playing so well I can't say any of them getting in. Along with pushing for promotion I'm in the 4th round of the League Cup after beating West Ham 3-0 in the 1st, Wolves 2-1 in the 2nd and Spurs 4-1 (!?) in the 3rd round. Got Leyton Orient in the 4th round as well so I'm pretty sure I shall be in the 5th round.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I prefer to draw teams in a better division as I think they are easier to win !!
Simo86 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Its coming to the end of the season of the 2014/15 campaign and Vichai sells the club!!!
Bugg Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I'm such a mercenary on this game. Started with Colchester, got them promoted, resigned. Moved onto Barnsley for 2 seasons, resigned. Ended up at Wrexham for about half the season, resigned. Now I've ended up at Coventry who are absolute shit, the only player worth playing is JukeBox and he wants out. And guess what I'm going to do at the end of the season, you got it, resign.
kingfox Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Started with Leicester two days ago. Kasper Schmeichel John Pantsil - Matt Mills - Sol Bamba - Paul Konchesky Darren Ambrose - Andy King - Jonny Howson - Danny Rose David Nugent - Jermaine Beckford Bench - Marian Kello, Danny Wilson, Gelson Fernandes, Neil Danns, Heider Helguson Also signed Zeke Fryers, Jacob Butterfield and Geovanni
Libertine Dream Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Its coming to the end of the season of the 2014/15 campaign and Vichai sells the club!!! That's what happened on mine. The new owners are stupidly rich which has allowed me to move to the next level with some great signings.
Simo86 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 That's what happened on mine. The new owners are stupidly rich which has allowed me to move to the next level with some great signings. Hopefully mine is the same. They are still deciding if they want to keep me on as manager before lifting my transfer embargo. I still had a transfer budget of £20m as well
Stadt Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I signed Whittingham and now it's the start of the season it says he's unregistered and I'm quite sure I registered him any ideas how I get round it?
The Doctor Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Don't sign Whittingham, sign foreign named players. Garician (sp) from Boca Juniors - 1.5m and 6 goals in 7. Anyway - Drop down menu at the top with the name of your team > Squad, then on the list of stuff (players, Back-room advice etc.) select squad registration.
Stadt Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Thanks Al could you reccomend any players less than a million I wanted Adomoah but Bristol citeh wanted too much.
The Doctor Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 what position? Oh and **** paying under 1m, just make masses of it future fees. I spent about 20m in the first summer overall from the 7 mill budget (plus a couple of million raised from selling various players) by making offers about 300k-500k up front and then the main body of the fee over the next 30-42 months.

So I offer a small amount upfront say 500k then in a few years time I pay 2-3 million?
The Doctor Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 That's pretty much what I do - Lucas Viatri (sp) from Boca - 5.5 million overall, 'bout 600k up from and 4.9m over the next 42 months. It's probably bad for the finances, but hey so's selling Weale for 400k only to replace him with a £2m keeper (Ben Amos).

Finnegan Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 That... doesn't work, Al. Or if it does it's new to this version... the overall cost of the transfer comes out of your budget. I've tried before, when near my budget limit, by offering things like Xm up front followed by another Ym once a player reaches, say, 20 international caps (particularly handy with German and Japanese players if you haven't done the fix!) But it always comes out saying I can't afford the value of the transfer, etc.
Simo86 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 What's the name of the guy who took over? Adam Clark is now my chairman i think. He kept me on and gave me a £26m budget so I'm not too worried now That... doesn't work, Al. Or if it does it's new to this version... the overall cost of the transfer comes out of your budget. But it always comes out saying I can't afford the value of the transfer, etc. It does but only if you add monthly instalments. Nearly all of my signings I offer nothing upfront and the rest over 48 months. You get to spend way over your budget but like Al said, it doesn't help your finances. I don't buy many players now and if I do there young players with massive potential so the finances have balanced themselves out now.
foxfanazer Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 Has anyone ever signed vaklav kadlec from sparta prague? He becomes so good if u play him straight away with an experienced striker. And tutor him if u have someone decent to do it

Cal Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 I am finding this really easy, first season in the Premiership with Leicester, im sitting in 2nd after 24 games. Im still in the League Cup, FA Cup and Euro knockouts. Squad is getting absolutely knackered though, so I reckon my form wont last long!
The Doctor Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 As simo has said - it does, but only with the monthly instalments. The games or goals add-ons appear to get taken out automatically, which seems strange.

Strange though, yeah, you'd imagine it'd be the other way around.
