wurmer Posted 28 May 2012 Posted 28 May 2012 Did Simon Lazenby just say " looking around Monaco its all hills and tight bends. Something Grace Kelly knows all about" and then had a little chuckle? Yeah he did - he apologised later. Race was dull even by Monaco standards. When someone can work out WTF these tyres are all about, we will start seeing some consistency, until then, can't predict anything, even between FP, Qually and the Race.
isaidno Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Hamilton fastest in both practice sessions today. Bruno Senna had a big smash at the wall of champions.
Asha Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Brilliant stuff from the 'time-trial golden boy'. Think we'll see Alonso leading into turn 3 though.
Jimmy Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 I'm still hoping Vettell will end up in the wall of Champions, during his warm up lap

Basingstoke Fox Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 Very happy for Hamilton! That's the sort of race I love to see, a great track with lots of fast corners and a driver who is able to just go for it and drive as fast as he can, rather than spend the whole time worrying about tyres!
Floating Fox Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 There's hardly any fast corners at Montreal... Great drive by Hamilton!!

Amin Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Audi has just won it's 11th 24 hours of Le Mans. Anthony Davidson broke his back in this crash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzw5i14ewXY He seems to be recovering well, he even sent this tweet: Anthony Davidson@antdavidson Well that was a big one! Lying in a French hospital with a broken back wasn't what I had in mind at this stage in the race...
Brainy Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 You know Felipe baby will come back to form with a point to prove, knowing his Ferrari exit is inevitable at the end of the term. So Hamilton's only just making the top five is proof he won't make it this year, whilst Massa's failure to do so is proof he will make it. Loving the logic. I'll take a bet with you right now, Hamilton will be top five and Massa won't. I'd happily take that. So, when Massa finishes in the top five, or Hamilton doesn't, I walk away with how much? 1 Lewis Hamilton GB McLaren-Mercedes 88 2 Fernando Alonso Spa Ferrari 86 3 Sebastian Vettel Ger Red Bull-Renault 85 4 Mark Webber Aus Red Bull-Renault 79 5 Nico Rosberg Ger Mercedes GP 67 6 Kimi Raikkonen Fin Lotus-Renault 55 7 Romain Grosjean Fra Lotus-Renault 53 8 Jenson Button GB McLaren-Mercedes 45 9 Sergio Perez Mex Sauber 37 10 Pastor Maldonado Ven Williams-Renault 29 11 Kamui Kobayashi Jpn Sauber 21 12 Paul Di Resta GB Force India-Mercedes 21 13 Bruno Senna Brz Williams-Renault 15 14 Felipe Massa Brz Ferrari 11 You may aswell pay up now Ash
Asha Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Haha, yeah, well we never exactly agreed on an amount so it's not exactly a live bet. But thanks for caring enough to take the time to search through a thread for me, chief <3
Floating Fox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 Batracer Formula Foxestalk season 23 sign up closes on Thursday evening. Anyone interested in F1 should give it a go!! We still need more racers!
Brainy Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 It wasn't really difficult, it just crept up on me how low Massa has fallen and that he's done bugger all for a number of seasons. Must be his head
Finnegan Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 Haha, yeah, well we never exactly agreed on an amount so it's not exactly a live bet. But thanks for caring enough to take the time to search through a thread for me, chief <3 I would suggest that, by the time honoured values of Man Betting, you at very least owe Facecloth a pint. It was a truly awful call on your part.

isaidno Posted 20 June 2012 Posted 20 June 2012 Congratulations. Whats your role, if you don't mind me asking? I'm a parts controller. I'll be supplying the teams that have Mclarens with parts and the Mp4 production line. I've done a similar role with toyota but nothing this high profile.
