MLS players (Anyone worth signing)

Recommended Posts

Was just wondering if there are any MLS players who would be worth us signing on loan? Would have loved the signing of Henry and am terribly jealous of Arsenal but was thinking there must be a few more quality players out there that could help us. Maybe Robbie Keane?

I don't know enough about the league to comment really but ive heard it compared to Championship standard?

Apologies if anyone opened this looking for genuine transfer talk.

There's a decent Hondurian winger playing for Dallas, I think he's called Najar? I think he'd fit in well here, I've heard he's been compared to a combination of Hulk and Lennon.

The mention of "a Honduras winger" reminded me of that Honduran chap we "signed" in the summer. Who was on a plane for basically the whole summer. What happened to him?

Brad Davis - Houston Dynamo - good left midfielder and beat Beckham to most assists in the season. Crocked though.

Brek Shea - the new up and coming thing in US soccer. Another left mid

Kyle Beckerman - white dude with dreads and midfield holding player.

I always wanted us to sign Dwayne De Rosario, really skillful playmaker / #10 from the first time I saw him here. Canadian international like Huuuuuuuuuume but skillful. And good. Bit old but was MVP this season. Also Brian Ching from (again) Houston (of course). Think a good, less likely to be sent off, Steve Howard.

Wow i'm not the only Leicester fan on here from Texas, must have missed your posts the last couple of years !! Agree about Rosario, always been a decent looking player. Was kind of hoping that we might come in for Keane but guessing that the only reason he was considering us earlier on in the year was because of Sven.

Where do you watch your games in Houston? I'm up near Dallas but the wife's family is in Houston. We sometimes get to the Bull and the Bear if i'm down there and Leicester happen to be on FS+ that weekend !

At a guess, still on a plane.

Ryanair have gotten ridiculous - Honduras to Leicester, lands in El Salvador with a bus the rest of the way.

Probably a really stupid question but would you have work permit issues with players from the US or Canada?

Yes! Anyone whose nationality is outside the EU & you heve to justify your ability with international appearances.

Do you know how many appearances you would need? Noticed Tim Ream has 7 caps.....I personally think its a ridiculous rule, surely some great talent is wasted due to players not getting a chance at a top club because of this.

It also depends on Nationality. Quite a few North/South American players hold dual Nationality due to where they, their paremts or grandparents were born. Some will have say a 2nd nationality of for example English or Irish or Italian. As long as that Nationality as an EU Country then they do not need a work permit.

Sign the lad up looks good and is a USA international with 19 caps, free agent and is a winger what more do you want.

1:28 - I didn't realise Rob Green had moved to the MLS. Anyway - looks fairly good but: Kaebi & Kermorgant - Don't get carried away with that video.
