Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Luxury player. As are a few of our players. King/ Dyer/ Gallagher
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Luxury??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ffs
reynard Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Get off his back!!!!!!!! He was a hero after palace at home. He makes a bigger impact than dyer in games and dyer (except for today when he scored) doesn't get slated. Gallagher has the vision and range to make a chance out of nothing. GET OFF HIS BACK!! Ok he scored a couple of special goals that day but he's next to useless most of the time. He can't tackle. He's too slow to be an out an out striker. He's consistently muscled off the ball. His distribution is more often than not shocking. Most of his long range passes end up in the stand. Most of his corners are awful and usually don't beat the first defender. Every 8 or 10 games he comes up with a wonder free kick but in between he does nothing and with one exception his free kicks today were very poor. Sorry but if we are really serious about reaching the premier league he is the sort of player we need to improve on.

He's long passes are great, corners aren't great but nobody else takes them. Today Danns could have easily said, gally leave this one I'll have it. And he's crosses though, usually they are decent (not corners, just free play) wheras other players in our team can't cross a ball
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Dyer, a 'luxury' player? Seriously? Yes because, he isn't in every game for 90 mins. He doesn't work hard defensivley, attackingly he can attack but he's final ball isn't great
Head Honcho Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 There's some guy on twitter reckons he was our best player today.............he was telling Gally's missus mind. What a creep!
martyn Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Yes because, he isn't in every game for 90 mins. He doesn't work hard defensivley, attackingly he can attack but he's final ball isn't great Can't argue with 3 of those 4 points. However, for all his limitations, you can never accuse him of not putting a shift in. The antithesis of a luxury player, for me.

The antithesis of a luxury player, for me. yes I admit he does put a shift in, put in my eyes a key player should be present for 90 mins a game every game.

leicesterisme Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Booing him off the pitch just proves how overrated and shite he is. He is only good at free kicks and penalties, in and around the field he plays like a puff and today's set pieces were shocking. Or it just proves how stupid and fickle some of our fans are? Don't get me wrong, he's so frustrating with moments of brilliance and then producing utter rubbish but I would never ever boo him off the pitch like I wouldn't with any other of our players.

And he's crosses though, usually they are decent (not corners, just free play) wheras other players in our team can't cross a ball His long passes are generally over hit. Presumably he's told to take the corners??? I don't know. Just because other players can't cross doesn't mean he can. I'll acknowledge that sometimes they are ok but mainly they are not. He's the kind of player you put on in American football to take the kicks and then take off again as soon as you can because he's not much use at anything else. He's a luxury we can no longer afford.
Leicfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Frustrating is the best word that's been used. It's along the same line Swansea fans call David Cotterill.
seenitall Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He takes every set piece as if it is his right amd most today were poor. His play was fairly industrious but the set pieces made him look truly poor and someone else should have had a go. It suggests that he is untouchable and that is a worry
Bob Farley Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's just a Beckham wannabe, he should go to LA Galaxy and get taught how to take set pieces from Becks himself! I always thought that too..
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 What does that make King? He's rarely in a game for 90 seconds. I said, he's a big luxury player. He is good to have if the other CM is playing well because he can be carried. But when they aren't it becomes clear that he is a luxury player His long passes are generally over hit. I agree he is a luxury player but can make things out of nothing, sometimes.
Corky Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Given the amount of crap set-pieces, poor touches and slow play he was expert at making nothing out of something today.
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Given the amount of crap set-pieces, poor touches and slow play he was expert at making nothing out of something today. Where was the something from? I didn't see any move start let alone breakdown, with the exception of the through ball he should have played to danns
Corky Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Where was the something from? I didn't see any move start let alone breakdown, with the exception of the through ball he should have played to danns How many corners did we have? All were shocking. Nugent played the ball into his feet, back to goal, and he mis-controlled it straight to a Barnsley player. Gallagher had chances to make an impact and failed badly.
Karljohn Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I was going to ask him via twitter why he's playing so shit but Gally7 user doesnt not exist?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Hes absolutely ****ing shocking. Get a proper winger in, someone who is willing to stick a foot in and their body on the line for this club.
marko Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I was going to ask him via twitter why he's playing so shit but Gally7 user doesnt not exist? It's @Gally_7

Corners today were awful but I didn't see danns/ konchesky coming over to gally and saying leave this one. And I don't remember the other. So he broke down those 2 moves He created a chance from his free kick which was a decent save in the end as it was going in. He created the goal mouth scramble from his corner. He created another chance for konchesky to get the ball in the box when he squared it to him from out of nothing. That's just off the top of my head. Any other player create any real chances today (except the goal)??
