tylesta Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 i cannot belive i aint seen it aint his postion yet! He is utter shite have said it for ages, people talk about his delivery? the odd free kick and odd good corner, i play football twice a week 11 a side i'm not the tallest of players but i put effort in to challenging for headers unlike this person who does a 360 degree turn, and tackling i hate it when players back out of challenges (more likly to get injured backing out) just an embarresment to himself doing this and one day will get himself injured. if we want to progress then we need to get rid of gally he just aint good enough, if we want someone who can deliver a decent ball, decent corner, free kick taker then he needs to be good all round, no point in having someone in the team cause his delivery his good or he can take a free kick it will not work
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Gallagher like Wellens can both f**k off, I am tired of watching shitty spineless performances from them plus a few others.
tylesta Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Corners today were awful but I didn't see danns/ konchesky coming over to gally and saying leave this one. And I don't remember the other. So he broke down those 2 moves He created a chance from his free kick which was a decent save in the end as it was going in. He created the goal mouth scramble from his corner. He created another chance for konchesky to get the ball in the box when he squared it to him from out of nothing. That's just off the top of my head. Any other player create any real chances today (except the goal)?? maybe he IS the set piece taker by management, some teams do have nominated set piece takers?
Cropwellfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 If you are reading this Gallagher shut your ****ing 'banter' up and practice your corners pal
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 maybe he IS the set piece taker by management, some teams do have nominated set piece takers? I guess but surely a player must have the spine to just say. I'll take this one, people do take set pieces when gallagher doesn't play.
tylesta Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I guess but surely a player must have the spine to just say. I'll take this one, people do take set pieces when gallagher doesn't play. but they might sort it out before the game gally takes set pieces, as you say they take um when he doesn't play
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 but they might sort it out before the game gally takes set pieces, as you say they take um when he doesn't play Yeh I guess. It needs sorting because you always need a plan B and if your first choice corner taker isn't playing well, give it someone else. It's not difficult to cross a ball into the box from a set piece.
z-layrex Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I love how quickly you all turn on players who've given years of their careers to this club. The problem is with the team as a whole (or lack thereof), and not any one player. Come on, there must be a lot of you who've played a competitive team sport or perhaps played in Counter Strike clans or whatever back in the day. It wouldn't matter how good you were, if you played in a team that wasn't working, you'd be totally off your game as a result.
eaststandtom Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I've been going to Leicester for ten years now and I believe Gallagher is the most frustrating player I've seen. Even his set pieces were awful! Thoughts? would agree. he goes into the all time hall of fame along with danny tiatto and andy impey
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Despite how poor his delivery can be from set pieces, you all know there isn't anyone else who can do a better job. That's even more worrying.
Kingylcfc Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Leave him alone, its obvious that he's being scapegoated for everything! yes some of his deliveries were poor today...but a) someone else can take them but they never offer! and b) maybe its Nigel choosing him to take them? He has shown he is class, but just get off his back all the time!! He won me a TV for Christ's Sake
LCFC_DAN Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Leave him alone , I just think hes having a bad patch of form , theres so many other players in the squad who are playing poor and play poor 90% of the time, and Gallagher has done well over the years as a Leicester player and this season he aint done bad either , ok he has made a few mistakes recently but he has scored some important goals for us this season so I think we should just get off his back
dog_4 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 if only we had back ups for all these skapegoats! oh sven didnt bother bringing any back up in!
Thracian Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It's a strange thing but somewhere or another on this site about 2/3 of our players have been called shite in the last few hours. Most of these players featured against Manchester City in the Cup, against Southampton when we beat them as league leaders this season and against high-flying Brighton when we beat them shortly afterwards. So why, I ask are they all suddenly playing way below their best. No they were never world beaters but we suddenly have threequarters of the team playing badly at the same time instead of just two or three. Are they, I wonder, simply punch-drunk on all the changes - of manager, systems, training, circumstances, you name it? Yes we've needed improvements. But Peltier, Mills, Tunchev, Abe, King, Wellens, Danns, Gallagher and Beckford have all been known to do well enough in the past - why not now? And why are they all playing badly at the same time? It doesn't make sense and there has to be something seriously wrong. Is it Beckford's wages seeing as the alarming dip in form seemed to start with his arrival? Is it Pearson's decision-making that has seemed unfair? Is it the constant reference to newcomers undermining the current staff and their spirit. Or all of those things and more. Someone needs to find out and somehing needs to be done about it. Because our team members wouldn't all become bad players overnight.
Langston Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Frustrating would be the definitive term to describe Gallagher. Perhaps time he moved on, have to be thankful for some of the best goals I've seen during my City supporting life, but he isn't quite consistent enough for where we want to be.
Finchy Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 His gold boots sum him up as far as i'm concerned. Such a poser. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get stuck in to keep his boots clean.
MrFox781 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 has his moments, but beside that he's useless.
stivesfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Gallagher is a luxury player scores some great goals, but is never one who roll his sleeves up and have a scrap! I thought his performances of late have been extremely poor, if he played as well as he tweets and clowns about he be the best player in the league! Far from impressed with him, I certainly be looking to ship him out, he isn't the scape goat he is playing crap over rated! When you think of all the crap Beckfords getting its our friends at radio Leicester who ass lick Gallagher week in week out, his effort and performance is worse than Beckford its radio Leicester that send out messages to the public! Is there a scape goat yes there is and it isn't Gallager!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Another interesting point on Gallagher: According to wiki he has played 99 games for us and scored 22 goals (in the league that is). From my knowledge, he ahs only two of those goals away from home, and they were in the same game vs Watford, Dec 10. And they were set pieces/penalty. I know we were at home yesterday and he was poor, but generally he only performs at home, when he does actually perform at all. If we had a bigger squad its got to the point where I'd only play him in the home games where under NP especially we will attack more than we will do away from home. NP likes to grind results away from home and we need players who are willing to defend and get stuck in which is what Gallagher doesnt do. Wont happen but I'd only ever start him in the home games where he has proved to be more effective.
fleckneymike Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 There is a myth surrounding Gallagher's set piece delivery, we went nearly a year without scoring from a corner remember.
fleckneymike Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We must have had penalties away from home which he scored from surely? If not that is a shocking statistic.
gazfox9 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Said it for ages. Poor player. Gives you the odd moment of magic but just doesn't offer anywhere near enough on a regular basis to command as many starts as he has. Seems patience with him has wore thin now with the majority of fans.
gazfox9 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We must have had penalties away from home which he scored from surely? If not that is a shocking statistic. Burnley away he scored a pen didnt he??
