FuriousFox46 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The players and the staff are paid thousands of pounds a week and are given 5 days a week, training to get it right. As a fanbase we were promised promotion. Pearson has NO right to say we're 'suffering delusions of grandeur'. He needs to stop making excuses, he has to sort this mess out sharpish. The fans booing the players during the game and getting on their backs is perfectly understandable but it's nothing but deconstructive. Also, fed up of the fans calling out 'faggot' and 'poof' It's not funny. I severly question why some overweight, middle-aged man comes to the football every week to hurl prejudice abuse at people to compensate for his below average existence. One word; crisis.
z-layrex Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm as pissed off and upset as anyone, but there is NEVER an excuse for boo'ing our team.
FuriousFox46 Posted 14 January 2012 Author Posted 14 January 2012 I'm as pissed off and upset as anyone, but there is NEVER an excuse for boo'ing our team. I agree.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm as pissed off and upset as anyone, but there is NEVER an excuse for boo'ing our team. Boo'ing is the only way the message will ever get across. If we all stood and claped them off the pitch today, what would that say about us? were happy to accept a 2-1 home defeat to Barnsley? If im not doing my job rite, i will be told. They need telling the way there playing is not acceptable.

After the game, less consequential IMO.
Webbo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Today must hold the record for shit threads on Foxestalk.
top cheese Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I think the thing that needs to change with Leicester CIty FC is there overall club philosophy. Its understandable that the fans are upset but the reality is that the club is not building towards success. Lets think about the big picture for a second. How many club chairmans/ ownership changes have the club had in the past decade? Is it something like 8-9 managers in the past number of years? How many quality buys has the club had? How many quality players has your academy produced in the past several years. I would have figured that relegation to league 1 would have opened peoples eyes but it never. What should have happened immediately after promotion back to the Championship the structure and ideals should have changed to build a winner towards getting back into the premiership. How do you build a strong club and one that consistantly reaching for the top. You build a team not based on MONEY and TRANSFER FEES you base it on building a core of players with a sense of togetherness who will grow and fight for the club tooth and nail to reach the clubs goals. Then when you need to fill a certain role ( a tackler, extra striker etc) you spend your money wisely on someone who fits in with the group. With the exception of Nugent and Konclesky and Schmicheal.....your 11m dollars has purchased nothing but a bunch of sad sack selfish losers who are content to mope around and earn the idiot money that your rich owners have handed to them. You can blame it rightfully on Sven. He has created a mess but part of the blame has to go to your owners who demanded immediate promotion and pressured Him to buy for the sake of buying. And the result is what you get now. You all show your negatitivity towards dyer, wellons, king, berneir, weale, gallagher, tunchev, howard. but guess what? that core group got you through league 1 and a PK from wembley playoffs. At that time, Pearson should have been locked up and that core group built around smartly. How about developing guys like moore, kennedy, schulp instead of wasting your time with pantisil and ball? If you dont agree look at Norwich or now Southhampton.......... Thats the reality people it aint only MONEY that is going to save your (you can see that in any sport) its BRains something Leciester Citys decision makers from above lack.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm as pissed off and upset as anyone, but there is NEVER an excuse for boo'ing our team. Bollocks. That was one of the most heartless, shambolic performances for a long time. They were lucky they were not pelted with rotten fruit and shite so bad was their performance.
ozleicester Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 "Delusions of granduer"....pearson is a cvnt! ..............that is all

But it's not the fans fault is it? The owners are evidently lacking football knowledge. Sacking Sven was bloody ludicrous.
JadeFalcon Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 i'm sick of hearing "we shouldnt boo our team"... so we should just sit there and accept this shit week in week out ? the only other way to get them to listen other than booing is if somebody runs across the pitch and starts throwing season tickets at him

pen2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Bollocks. That was one of the most heartless, shambolic performances for a long time. They were lucky they were not pelted with rotten fruit and shite so bad was their performance. Agree and to cap it all Pearson goes on radio Leicester and says that we have delusions of grandeur, thinking that we should beat Barnsley,Portsmouth and Ipswich at home is not having massive delusions, him saying that on the radio makes him deflect from the issues that the team are shite and he does not have a f***** clue what to do about it apart from play 1 up front at home against a team below us.......... brilliant
JadeFalcon Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 i replied to wrong thread , had 5 of them open
FrankieADZ Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 promised? was we? i thought the word was "Expected" and "Challenging".
top cheese Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 i wouldnt go as far to say its the "Fans" fault. I just find LCFC fans are ethier as High or low as possible. And just wont support there team through and through. Now i really think this is frustration that has built up more then a lack of support. But you cant expect players to play hard when there constantly taunted and boo'd. Away teams must love coming to leciester!
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Something needs to definitely change we need players that want to fight for the promotion cause hell yeah even players from the non league on 500 pound a week would perform better than this shite.
stillwater Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 If that is what Pearson said then he can fook off right now , what a complete willy puller
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The Manager simply is not managing, and has done NOTHING to get the show on the road since his arrival at this club for the second time. He has utterly failed to motivate the squad, both as a team, and as individuals. It seems he simply is not managing at al, and are sliding into oblivion. Well done Mr P. and thanks for all you are not doing!
Oh tommy wright Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm as pissed off and upset as anyone, but there is NEVER an excuse for boo'ing our team. Boooooooooo!
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm surprised at the reaction to NPs words this afternoon. He is absolutely spot on imo. Delusions of grandeur indeed, as are many of the fans - deluded. He can only work with what he's got and what he's got is no better than a mid-table side. £11 million spent or not. That's it. Just because £11 million was spent, half of which was due to over-inflated transfer fees paid, does not give us a divine right to walk this league. You can't judge NP until he ships out a load of players and sorts it out.

I can't imagine Pearson ever promising promotion and cannot understand why anyone else would. Heaven only knows how much money this club has wasted and continues to waste and for very little that i can see. No-one with any sense would pay the sort of wages we're paying for the calibre of player we're getting in return. The Thais need some help and quickly. Including a crash course in what's needed to make an effective football team.

acooling08 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Thee whole club is just in a vicious circle of negativity at the moment. We are playing so poorly that the fans stop attending games/start booing, this makes the players play worse and therefore the fans booing gets louder and louder. Spiral of decline. Mid table this season I'm afraid.
