I think we are about to discover the owners true colours

Maybe im being dumb, but if Birch made a phone call to Mandaric asking him to buy the club, and then Mandaric buys the club.

Then he has some sway with Mandaric.

Has anybody told you that Mandaric has since sold the club, hence the person he had influence with is no longer here.....

Or am I missing something. I have the sway to make a phone call to my friends/past employers, but none of them have or will buy the club, Im pretty sure this is now the situation Birch finds himself im, ie - he has no sway with the people who now own the club.

Having been in the position of finding a buyer for the club in crisis, and having been given a job for life, my point is that he is highly regarded and has influence ... he's more than the joker with the mike at halftime. You only need to visit his office at the training ground to realise that.

All I'm saying is that I find it rather suspect that the Raksiaksorns as the two main spokespeople for the consortium have been rather quiet in recent weeks and months...

A bit like us fans watching that shit dressed up as football on match days.

Perhaps we can get Cindy Lauper to sing her song as he goes out the door.

Hope so ... love that song .... might be something to look forward to!!

I stand by my statement. I think you'll probably find some of the non-Sven players are the ones currently playing like twats or heading out the door. The same ones who helped ship him out the door, and currently are playing blinders for their old boss.

I don't know whats funnier, the fact you wrote that in the first place or the fact you still stand by it.

What's funnier, the fact I wrote it in 2010 and you didn't read it properly or anything pro-Sven is shot down by individuals like yourself. Thanks I'll stand on my own then if it means I'm standing by you

This is a serious matter and for me a concern.

Please dont let some racist bigot bring an important debate down into the gutter.

Why is it serious? What evidence is there that the Thai's are going to fook off and leave us in the shit? They are very successful businessmen and hey haven't got to where they are by bailing on projects they've invested heavily in to. I'm sure you'll come back with the argument that by bailing they can cut their losses but if they did then they can kiss goodbye to ever owning another football club in England, which is VERY important to them and their future.

Even the Foxes Trust aren't concerned and they were forever chuntering on about how shady Mandaric might be.

I think we need to stop panicking.

The owners are going to leave us.... so they bid £1.5m for Stewart and £2m for Sharp.

What were they going to be, goodbye presents?

Its quite simple if im honest. Instead of Nigel being allowed to spend money on defenders like normal. Get a New CM. preferably better than that crock of shit Wellens!

A new right winger who quite frankly can actually cross the ball for once? and a striker who can put the ball in the net. Not SHARP!

We need at least two wingers but I agree with your sentiments. The striker should be a mobile target man.

It might be the most embarrassing thread i've ever read. I bet Kate Middleton has similar insecurities about Big Willy when he pops out to the shops.

Agreed, but the question is who? .. And the fact that wellens still makes the team depresses me deeply.

Yeah Gally has been pretty poor recently as well. I really wish we kept Gradel! He fits the bill nicely

I'm not suggesting anyone is going to leave.

My original point was it was plain that they wanted us up last year, it did'nt happen. They wanted us up this year, it wasn't happening, they sacked Sven, now it's still not going to happen.

So their plan is not working, and I am curious to see the reaction from the owners.

Like I said in the original post, I hope it's a positive experience.

With their lack of patience and experience I would say anything is possible, and I find that worrying hence my original point.

I hope the Sven experiment has made them learn that big names mean very little. You need to build something, like Pearson was doing here first time and like he was doing at Hull.

What is currently happening here happened at Hull. He had to ship out a load of dross and rebuild the team with the sort of hungry young players he always likes to sign. Things started off badly, but slowly he got his own men in and they started to climb the table. They also started to get rid of the functional football and started playing some decent stuff.

The appointed Pearson because of what he had done here, and because of what he was doing at Hull. It's not an over night fix, Pearson is a builder. They got him in to do that here, so they need to keep that in mind now and let the man see the job through.

Money was available last week, so I would imagine one defeat is not going to change that.

I agree with you.

However we are fans that will be here next week, next year, next decade God willing and so on.

No one knows the extent of the patience of the owners, or indeed their thoughts on allowing Pearson two, maybe three seasons to strip out the shit and start from scratch.

Hence my original point.

Are they willing to wait and fund such a project that ultimately also has no guarantees?
