poggypogpog Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Let's face it, instant success in this game is rare. Great teams have always stood by their manager who has then gone onto bringing glory. After all the upheaval City have gone through in the past few years, it's about time they consolidated for a season and then built on that platform.
Wig_Wam_Bam Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Well chum, explain in detail. Somehow I do'nt think you can, What exactly do you want me to explain ? And actually you know nothing about me so don't accuse me of being some sort of uneducated moron!
Ultra Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I wrote this sometime ago, and maybe it might be still applicable regarding the owners. Yet I don't think Pearson would be keen at all. All I Want for Christmas Forget Bellamy, the Championship’s biggest signing this season has been Sven-Goran Eriksson. Those who mocked us and suggested that Sven knew nothing about the Championship and would bring us nothing but journeymen and football mercenaries are being proven thoroughly wrong in every instance.
sphericalfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 [/b] I stand by my statement. I think you'll probably find some of the non-Sven players are the ones currently playing like twats or heading out the door. The same ones who helped ship him out the door, and currently are playing blinders for their old boss.

cc_star Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Wellens is the main culprit listen to what Kasper has to say here WTF are you on You deduce Wellens from that? I can only think it's because you wanted to hear Wellens This forum & people on it are so far past ridiculous it's painful Utter bilge is spouting from everywhere, which is counter-productive & actually starting to be destructive

I can only think it's because you wanted to hear Wellens This forum & people on it are so far past ridiculous it's painful Utter bilge is spouting from everywhere, which is counter-productive & actually starting to be destructive It is pretty obvious he is talking about players such as the ilk of Wellens and co, they haven't got the mental strength or the expectations levels to succeed at this club hence, why else would Kasper come out with a stinging attack at them?
Webbo Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It is pretty obvious he is talking about players such as the ilk of Wellens and co, they haven't got the mental strength or the expectations levels to succeed at this club hence, why else would Kasper come out with a stinging attack at them? Unbelievable.
Happy Fox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Unbelievable. It isn't really Kasper has hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned.
Webbo Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It isn't really Kasper has hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned. He said" some players don't have the same mental strength" and from that you deduce that it was a stinging attack on Wellens.
Happy Fox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 He said" some players don't have the same mental strength" and from that you deduce that it was a stinging attack on Wellens. Which players would you categorize as not having the mental strength?, on the evidence of this season I would go for Wellens, Howard, King, Dyer, Beckford and Gallagher
Webbo Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Which players would you categorize as not having the mental strength?, on the evidence of this season I would go for Wellens, Howard, King, Dyer, Beckford and Gallagher I don't know who he meant, just like I don't know that the Birch told the Thais to hire Pearson. Unlike you I don't make things up to support my prejudices.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Why do they have to come to every match in Leicester? If I wasn't born in Leicester I'd probably never go there. yeah but they own the club you moron.
5waller5 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 What exactly do you want me to explain ? And actually you know nothing about me so don't accuse me of being some sort of uneducated moron! Don't speak like one then?
5waller5 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Did the Birch have any influence on the decision to hire NP??? He did absolutely make the call and ask Mandy to buy the club days before we would have gone bust. I do know this for a cast iron fact. So he certainly has more influence than the half time compare as some have stated.
HoustonFox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I think if anything Kasper is saying he is pissed off too with the situation and that some people aren't giving their all as much as he clearly is. By siding with the fans and saying he is detached, he's basically saying "don't have a go at me, I think this is shit too". Can't say I blame him. After watching that on Saturday, we need a whole new midfield. Dyer maybe can stay and King can improve with the right partner but that is where we lost the game. Peltier being out of position was a symptom of having to over compensate.
cc_star Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It is pretty obvious he is talking about players such as the ilk of Wellens and co, they haven't got the mental strength or the expectations levels to succeed at this club hence, why else would Kasper come out with a stinging attack at them? not stinging, just observation From watching the Barnsley game he could easily mean Beckford, Danns, Peltier, Mills, King or Wellens... but no, you deduce Wellens Win as a team, lose as a team... yes only Kasper, Konch & Dyer performed on sat, but they were still part of a losing team as a result of 9 (inc sub) under-performing players, yup... Wellens fault

There were players on our books whom we'd have been able to sell had the need arisen.

Although I strongly believe he did, I'm not going to go over that old ground .... my point was that the Birch has more influence than just the guy with the mike at half time.
gw_leics772 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 That wasn't really my point ... Although I strongly believe he did, I'm not going to go over that old ground .... my point was that the Birch has more influence than just the guy with the mike at half time. Maybe im being dumb, but if Birch made a phone call to Mandaric asking him to buy the club, and then Mandaric buys the club. Then he has some sway with Mandaric. Has anybody told you that Mandaric has since sold the club, hence the person he had influence with is no longer here..... Or am I missing something. I have the sway to make a phone call to my friends/past employers, but none of them have or will buy the club, Im pretty sure this is now the situation Birch finds himself im, ie - he has no sway with the people who now own the club.
flowwolf Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I don't know who he meant, just like I don't know that the Birch told the Thais to hire Pearson. Unlike you I don't make things up to support my prejudices. Spot on webbo.
MattyFromLE Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I think they'll stick around to be honest. They've invested so much money long term, for example training ground and on the stadium. If they didn't intend to be here in 2/3 seasons time then I don't think they would have bothered. Having said that...i think if we're not in the PL within 2 seasons, we could be looking for new owners.
noonston Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 they arent going to spend like they did in the summer. Although i think theyll realise that pearson is so as much as an idiot as sven will give him money. However we'll have to get rid of a few before we bring anyone in i feel
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 The thread title is racist, we should launch an inquest.
flowwolf Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Well spotted soccerroo I demand this thread be re titled or removed with immediate effect or certain " phone calls " will be made.
