Bettsj2 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Havent read the whole thread, but has there been anything in any media source anywhere suggesting that the Thai's are looking to leave?
Happy Fox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Top is busy elsewhere at present http://www.bangkokpo...-cup-2012-final We are just a toy to these people rightly or wrongly who is making the decisions in the interim while they are on the jolly back in Thailand.
Foxes_Trust Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It was stated at the Fans Consultative Committee that the owners are here for the "long term", the Trust has no reason at all to doubt their intentions
Mack Posted 15 January 2012 Author Posted 15 January 2012 Does anyone have any proof that the Birch was influential in Pearson coming back? Seems a bit far fetched, but then when you think about it and realise the owners wont have a clue someone with their ear like the Birch could have an underestimated influence. Surely not though?
Foxes_Trust Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We are just a toy to these people rightly or wrongly who is making the decisions in the interim while they are on the jolly back in Thailand. It is hard on them to call it "a jolly", the family have been involved in Polo for many years, both playing & financial backing. They play at all the top establishments in the UK scene In terms of world wide Polo they are a far bigger name than they are in football

About as far fetched as The Birch shooting JFK. He's the half time compere for christ sake.

Well lets put it this way no way was NP first choice for the Thais.
cambridgefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Question. would you travel for over a day round trip to watch that crock of shit? i think we have been lucky thus far, because up to now they have delivered the £s that they promised and installed other personnel to oversee day to day running,,im sure LCFC is important to them, but they do have other priorities also.i am more than happy with them at the moment and think we should be a little more grateful for what they seem to be trying to do for our club.
The Padster Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We are just a toy to these people rightly or wrongly who is making the decisions in the interim while they are on the jolly back in Thailand. Who do you think HF? Do you reckon they left it to the Birch? How about Richie Fookin Wellens? You haven't stated anyone specifically but I know your thinking it's someone daft like those pair, stop it. Like any business the Chief Executive will be in charge and if not them then the Vice-Chief Executive or someone else with an equal business acumen to the Chairman, not somebody they drew out of a hat.
kyle09uk Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 To be honest I think it would cost them a lot more to just up and leave now after all the developments at the Ground, investments in players etc. Didn't one of them say they used to watch City play when they were younger, I hope they finish what they started. We do ourselves no favours through our high expectations. All will come good, keep the faith!

Thing is that may have all been paid for with money borrowed against the club, so they may have very little exposure, no one knows.
seenitall Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It was stated at the Fans Consultative Committee that the owners are here for the "long term", the Trust has no reason at all to doubt their intentions Which we would all feel a lot better about if they made good decisions............... And to the guy who wonders whether the owners and players read this board, it is part of the modern game, they all tweet and use the web to manipulate the things they want to get across to the fans and so a. they should read it, and b. if they don't like what they read, the answer is simple...
renards Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Does anyone have any proof that the Birch was influential in Pearson coming back? Seems a bit far fetched, but then when you think about it and realise the owners wont have a clue someone with their ear like the Birch could have an underestimated influence. Surely not though? I think its highly probable. I doubt Pearson was ever thought as either first. second or even third choice when moving Sven on, more of ' O shit now what do we do' Based on the naivety of the board, there is only Birch and Neville connected to the club with any depth of football knowlege. They have obviously fell for Birches patter, hes gone from on the verge of being laid off to being the clubs life long abassadour/ job for life?
volpeazzurro Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Question. would you travel for over a day round trip to watch that crock of shit? i think we have been lucky thus far, because up to now they have delivered the £s that they promised and installed other personnel to oversee day to day running,,im sure LCFC is important to them, but they do have other priorities also.i am more than happy with them at the moment and think we should be a little more grateful for what they seem to be trying to do for our club. I agree with you entirely. The Thai owners have done the best they can in the circumstances. They've put their money where their mouth is and financially backed whoever the manager has been. Realistically, not many chairman, albeit successful businessmen, are very experienced when it comes to running a football club and have to rely on an assembled team including a decent manager to advise them accordingly. This is where they perhaps went a little astray when they appointed the serial underachiever Sven who was a name they would have known and someone who they probably thought they could have trusted. Undoubtedly there were sound business interests/ambitions in trying to get LCFC promoted asap but I don't see anything wrong in that at all. Overall the owners have on the surface acted honourably compared with MM of whom we always had our doubts. I don't think they are about to run off but it must be galling to finance your manager (Sven) more than any other team in the division only to find that he has spent the money unwisely and then given a bunch of very mediocre players long expensive contracts that could leave the club with large financial commitments for years to come. If I was them I would want to scrutinise every player a future manager wants to purchase very closely. Financially it doesn't make sense to buy big in the January sales if there isn't much quality there. A spend, spend, spend attitude is very easy when it's not your own money.
Jace Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Shit we are really running out of people to blame now aren't we?
Guest Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Speaking to the stewards at the end of the game yesterday, they said Top hadn't been since before christmas. Why do they have to come to every match in Leicester? If I wasn't born in Leicester I'd probably never go there.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Theres nothing we can do, even if they did want out, which they've not said they do. Theres no point worrying about it, lets just hope Pearson gets a better midfielders in.
Wig_Wam_Bam Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 A very intellectual reply you must be so proud. fk off how's that. Idiot
sphericalfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I wrote this sometime ago, and maybe it might be still applicable regarding the owners. Yet I don't think Pearson would be keen at all. All I Want for Christmas
FoxesRoyal Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I personally can't see them giving up on us not after the money they have spent e.g. training ground, megastore they won't just walk out on us like that! i can see them being here for a long long time!
sphericalfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 I personally can't see them giving up on us not after the money they have spent e.g. training ground, megastore they won't just walk out on us like that! i can see them being here for a long long time! I don't expect them to do a runner. Unfortunately when/if we get to the promised and, I expect we'll be paying the price for it through increased ticket prices and shopware. The income generated in Asia may be something for the future, but until we get there, the cost increases with every fixture in the CCC.
Jace Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 They are probably thinking why have we paid £1 million for Nigel Pearson and offered £2 million for Cameron Stewart when we could of bought Hull City for £2.5 million? this make no sense?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 FFS you lot sort yourselves out, your all laughable. Well chum, explain in detail. Somehow I do'nt think you can,
