Yello have done some great stuff over the years - and are still going (haven't heard their recent material). They also have a candidate for the greatest ever album title: "You Gotta Say Yes to Another Excess" (fine album, too).

 

Did you see about the concept art thing Dieter Meier (vocalist/lyricist) did before and after he was famous?

"In 1972, as part of the "Concept Art" programme of documenta 5 in Kassel [years before Yello was formed], he had a metal plaque set in concrete at the main railway station in Kassel which read: "On 23 March 1994 Dieter Meier will stand on this plaque from 3 to 4 pm", which he did.

 

While Googling that, I found this page about his personal and artistic life - sounds like a fun life.
