We've signed Drinkwater, Marshall and Morgan for a combined fee of £2-3m We signed Del- fonz on loan We tried to sign Sharp (£2m+) and Vardy (£1m) ...... and that's just the ones we know about I bet there are a few other clubs in the Championship who'd have liked to have had our inactivity.

m00nie Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 You have to laugh at this thread, people disappointed because we've bought an experienced CB in Morgan, Drinkwater who's been tipped for the premiership and so far looks great, and Marshall who's been tipped as a future England star. whos actually dissapointed in what we have bought?? myself and i think others who have said are on about diaspointed in thinking we would have bought MORE... im happy with the players that have came in but dont think its enough..

Mack Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Pearson likes an old school no nonsense defender, Wayne Brown last time he was here Wes Morgan this time I assume. Point taken. However with all the other centre backs at the club and then the recent spat between Pearson and St Ledger I dont see how this is going to help things at all. I was fully expecting someone to go the other way to make room for Morgan but it hasn't happened. St Ledger is off the list, Mills is Captain, Bamba will be back soon from Africa, and then there is Morgan. Can anyone explain to me how we are going to get 4 players into 2 places in the team? And that's without Tunchev.
ithuriel Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 We would have got more players but it is obvious the selling clubs want a ton of money during the January transfer window so i'm more than happy with what we got in. Remember the transfer deadline day signings under O'niell when everyone was disappointed, with him buying J.Watts for £250,000 and some Chelsea reserve turkish lad on loan called Izzet.

Picking up young, keen players from Premiership teams is nothing to be balked at. Have you seen the quality of player this club used to attract? Agree with this totally. I would rather us sign 3 hungry players that wanna be here. Than 11 overpaid, ego-fuelled has beens that are here for a final pay cheque because they're a "big name"
