bluesbrothers Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Remember all the misery sods on here in pre-season, fapping over their dreams of a 20-goal-a-year man? He's been wearing No. 35 all along. Absolute top priority this summer is keeping Nugent and Beckford, because they're really starting to deliver the goods now.
whoareyaaa Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Brilliant all season long, and this is why we stand a good chance in the FA Cup with two quality strikers that can come up with the goods and have a good finish. Keep it going!
ScouseFox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Hate to blow my own trumpet and give it the old "I told you so", (I don't, I love it really), but when we signed him I was fvcking delighted. Always knew he'd do the business.

Legend_in_blue Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 You will not find a better striker in the Championship that is unlikely to be poached by a Premier League club. Although he's been there and done it, he still has so much to offer at this level and hopefully beyond. Great player.
ScouseFox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 You scousers love to stick together don't you ? Well there is that. I do know his cousin actually, seen as you mention it I've always liked him, I like the way he plays, the fact he is actually quite good, we got him for free, and I love the fact he likes nothing more than pissing opposition fans off. I even secretly liked him giving it the "you what?" to the Kop after his goal against us last season.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 In the last 3 games I've been to, he's scored 4 very, very good goals! Also I love the way he was putting his hands to his ears at Southampton and really making us raise our volume. Also loved it when he got booked and was just putting both hands on the referees face. That picture is brilliant .
Kitchandro Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Yeh I tend to like players who play up to the crowd, as long as they play for us.

Especially when he scored against Southampton and just celebrated in front of their fans. He knows how to give it back to fans that would 'abuse' him all match. Plus, he just seems like a perfectly happy, enthusiastic character. I'm glad that we have him at our club and even more so given he's got 13 goals this season, some of them pretty spectacular!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Well many of us have said we would "go gay" for Nuge Also, his goal for England. I remember this well
Gold Coast Fox Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Well many of us have said we would "go gay" for Nuge Also, his goal for England. I remember this well I couldn't stand Nugent after he 'stole' that goal... But the funny thing is, iv only recently realized that he was 100% right to take the goal because he was just making sure that the ball crossed the line. Nugent
Walker Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 To the great escape tune... 'David Nugent, he played for England And he represents the famous Leicester City Against Andorra, he was a scorer, And he's gunna score another one tonight, NUGENT!' (Repeat) Blatantly sung by PNE for him, but it's a song we could keep going for absolutely ages during a game!
hackenbacker Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Every week in 'The National' which is one of the local newspapers in Dubai they have a football column called Winners and Losers. Nuge was in the Winners section this week .... Wenger and Torres in the Losers David Nugent, Leicester City Speaking of England forwards, Nugent – a former Premier League striker who has one international cap and one goal – scored the winner for the Championship side Leicester against the Premier League side Norwich in the FA Cup.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Just changed my Background to this lovely man celebrating in Norwich! he's been one of our most consistent scorers for at least the last 5 years typical leicester as soon as we get goals in the team our solid defence goes walk about for a season. OH WELL
clare Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 There's a lot of love for Nuge out there! I personally hope away fans keep giving him stick as he rises to the challenge brilliantly - I think he thrives on it.
Aus Fox Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 The last Leicester City player to score 20 goals in a season, in the top 2 divisions was none other than the legend himself.... Gary Lineker. I think we are long over due another. On a side note the video of him scoring against Andorra the music in the background is thats entertainment how good would it sound if we came up with the song for david. "Thats David Nugent" i think it fits perfectly.

Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Great season for us already - 13 goals so far, long may it continue
blueblood88 Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Sorry blue blood, was talking league goals Dickov only managed 17 that season in the league Ahh, no worrries, Nugent will get 20-25 goals though this season IMO.
James across the Pond Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Love the guy. Well deserving of being on my Leicester shirt.
