Drinkwater & Gallagher out for several weeks

Yeah I hear ya Simo, DD was played out there against Southampton if I remember rightly...

I think it'll make a nice change though to have 2 out and out wingers rather than a more right midfielder position there... Give our game some width and hopefully open other teams up a bit more

When's he's played he's done well why be sarcastic about it? I was wondering if he was fit because he's defo an option that's all I was saying.

Why do you say ?

Because your'e arguments and logic just don't stack up mate that's why !

Talk about people clutching at straws!!!

Moussa?

If he were good enough he'd be played or he'd be signed by another club...

Do you think managers want to lose football matches?

If Moussa was better than what we have already he'd be in the team...

Christ on a bike...

Bloody ignoramus !

I'm so fed up with City at the moment I can't even be bothered to put you straight........... :P

The balance of our squad is now so fooked that I really do not know what to suggest, in midfield we have let go Fernandes and Abe, King, Drinkwater, Vassel and Gallagher are injured and Wellens has gone 'part time'. I havn't got a clue....... :(

In the past I have always been able to come up with some suggestions as to how things might be improved but for now NFP is pretty much on his own...... ;)

His comment was more aimed at the fact he seems to forget Abe and Fernandes DID NOT want to be here. You can hardly pin the blame on Pearson for that.

Your right we cannot but surely he must have knew that only having 3 CM wasn't enough now with Drinkwater injured we are f**ked in that department because of the inconsistancy in performances of both Wellens and Danns.

I can because he hasn't brought in sufficent replacements?

How many times has Pearson harped on about having more balance in the squad? Has he achieved this? Quite simply, no. We have less central midfield options and the same old crap out wide. Marshall might get a chance now Gallaghers injured but it's not enough when we're stuck with Wellens and Dyer.

Oh and we also have an abundance of central defenders now.

Exactly Its bad enough city aren't playing well but to have s many "fans" having a stab in and giving there bloody moans and groans it really is exhausting

Wellens has not gone 'part time'... As Babs has suggested, about a million times, he has been put onto a particular training regime by the club, as are all players at all clubs...

Regarding the 'balance' of the team... This problem has been apparent all season, particularly under Sven who was playing central midfielders in nie on every position..

lol

It's not Pearsons fault that Gally and Drinky are injured. If they weren't they'd probably continue to play in the league.

Tomorrows team I would assume will again be 442 with both wingers playing.

The problem under Nige isn't lack of balance in the team, it's lack of general ability IMO

Finally, Mills needs a spell on the bench. He's an accident waiting to happen at the moment.

And his distribution remains about the worst I think I've ever seen from a central defender, as bad as Wayne Browns in fact!!

lol

Wellens, King, Danns, Drinkwater = four central midfielders (five with Johnson). If Drinkwater is going to be out for a while then we might dip into the loan market. But that has only just happened.

My first question was I've always liked Moussa is he injured? You clearly have tunnel vision look where we are in the league then tell me he wouldn't be worth a try with the injury's we have at the moment.

And how many times has Pearson said that our priorities had to change because of some of the injuries we received. We have been without Pantsil, Bamba, King, Vassell, Schlupp, Waghorn, now Gallagher and Drinkwater. Whilst also missing others because of sendings off. SSL also threw his dummy out and looked on his way out, he only got back in because we had no other choices.

The bad balance was lack of width and too many CM's. Abe and Fernandes went out (their choice) and Drinkwater and Marshall came in. But he's not going to know that he and King would then get injured. Pearson stated several times that we wanted WINGERS, but that had to change because of all of the above.

How do you know that we weren't on a budget, that we had to get rid before we could bring in? Look at all the cancelled contracts etc, all done before anyone actually arrived. Because we've spent a bit of money people seem to think we have unlimited funds.

King is injured for the whole season, Fat Johnno isn't going to get fit anytime soon, so we have to dip into the loan market, as we will struggle to cope with teams with Danns and Wellens in the side.

My comment was aimed at foxhat's automatic defence of our Ritchie, we have a 'thing' going on about this, no longer serious though...

If we're on a budget can you explain the Morgan signing? A disgraceful signing given the options already available, money involved and standard of player coming in, clueless.

You'll be pleased to know I can't be bothered anymore, I didn't want him back and he's done nothing to convince me I'm wrong.

I know that, the point being his and drinkwaters injuries came after the others went. That's just bad luck, nothing to blame Pearson over.

Take your pick...

Because without him we'd have had no other centre backs recently.

Because SSL could still get the boot after his strop.

Because Pearson doesn't think our options at the back are good enough.

Because he's a long term signing with the manager knowing someone else will be going in the next 6 months.

Yeah a player forest fans mostly rated, a player in team of the year, a player who led them to several excellent seasons in this league, someone who doesn't get bullied by anyone over 6ft like our other centre backs. Terrible player.

You'll be pleased to know I can't be bothered anymore, I didn't want him back and he's done nothing to convince me I'm wrong.

Good... so long!!!

And there we have it, once again peoples decisions are made in advance of anything actually happening. Funny that those most vocal about our "failure" under Pearson (higher in the league than under Sven) were those he didn't like him and didn't want him.

It has been three months.
