FrankieADZ Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Nothing works with Wellens, but were stuck with him now since Pearsons sold all our other CMs. thought him & Danns looked good in the middle when they played there.
Simo86 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I have always liked Moussa in the middle is he injured? Think he's back from injury now. Probably be on the bench thought him & Danns looked good in the middle when they played there. They did against Southampton

StanSP Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Not happy with either of these set-backs. Obviously people will see Gally's injury as one of the most joyous occasions of the year! Although, Konchesky is probably liking the fact he can take all the free-kicks . Drinkwater being out is more of a set-back and it's a shame as we have only just bought him. This loss is a gain for other players though, especially Marshall. A chance to prove he was worth buying. No better stage than to do it in the cup and then a couple of upcoming games vs rivals.
Babylon Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I have always liked Moussa in the middle is he injured? He's done almost nothing whilst here, I don't understand peoples love affair with him.
Simo86 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 He's done almost nothing whilst here, I don't understand peoples love affair with him. He looks like Dizzee Rascal .............all I could think of
dannythefox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 He's done almost nothing whilst here, I don't understand peoples love affair with him. He ran the show away in the cup last year at Leeds he's a good player since then he's not had a look in.
Babylon Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 He ran the show away in the cup last year at Leeds he's a good player since then he's not had a look in. And Wellens has ran the show quite a few times but people hate his frigging guts.
SaltyDog Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I'm, like many others quite excited that Marshall might now get a decent shot on the wing with Gally being injured. Don't get me wrong, I like Gally but it seems while Gally is fit Pearson would rather start him than Marshall which is reducing Marshall's chances of showing us what he's capable of. Marshall, this could be your time to shine! Shame about DD though, he's looked pretty good in the middle of the park since joining, it's what we've been missing in my opinion this season, could do with another one like him to replace Wellens as a first team regular. Hearing Vassell is back in training and recovering well is good news, I think he offers a lot of energy upfront and we certainly have missed him this term... although Nugent and Beckford are sparking up a reasonable partnership now... finally... lets hope it continues so there is more fight for places alround
dannythefox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 And Wellens has ran the show quite a few times but people hate his frigging guts. All I was saying is Moussa's a good player and he's only young and he can do a job. Wellens for me has one good game in 4 now and needs replacing.
StanSP Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 The only thing of note I remember Moussa doing was scoring the final goal vs Scunthorpe before Sven started managing; Chris Powell hugging the linesman. Other than that, Moussa doesn't deserve a starting berth ahead of Danns or Wellens.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Nothing works with Wellens, but were stuck with him now since Pearsons sold all our other CMs. Bloody ignoramus !

He just had to wait for his chance, now he has possibly got it, it's up to him to take it.

You mean that slide -rule passing ,match winning Moussa wev'e all come to love and admire ? Yep.......we totally miss him !
SaltyDog Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Nothing works with Wellens, but were stuck with him now since Pearsons sold all our other CMs. I know he's had some poor games this season, hasn;t really been upto the standard we'd expect, looks lost sometimes in the middle of the park... but saying 'nothing works with Wellens' is a bit strong... I mean, he still has some classy skills, some of his touches have been quality, lay-offs etc... and the set up for Nugents Header against Boro was first class... I know its a shame he can't replicate this for every minute of every game but in truth he still a fair player.. not Premiership quality but still can do a Job for us here imo... even if from the bench once Pearson gets chance to build the squad for next season

I am aware of when we bought him pal.. i was just pointing out that while Gally is/was fit it seamed Pearson was happy to stick with him... Yes, this could be his chance for him to take... Isn't that what my point was in my original post Some people are so happy and quick to pick on others posts... sheesh.!!
Ric Flair Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 We need some loan signings in sharpish. Could still get relegated.
dannythefox Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 You mean that slide -rule passing ,match winning Moussa wev'e all come to love and admire ? Yep.......we totally miss him ! When's he's played he's done well why be sarcastic about it? I was wondering if he was fit because he's defo an option that's all I was saying.
SaltyDog Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 We need some loan signings in sharpish. Could still get relegated. lmfao!!! we're not Coventry or Forest!!! Come on.. give us a little credit

Exactly, so you should realise that Pearson isn't going to just chuck in a young lad who has only had League 1 experience. He's got to settle him in gradually. Some of our fans will soon get on his back if he doesn't replicate his Sheff Wed form, and Pearson knows this, which is why we haven't seen him start yet. Gally has not necessarily been starting in front of him either, they were both on the bench against Brighton. I wasn't picking on your post, just adding my opinion. That's what happens in a forum funnily enough.

I agree with you about Moussa, he's looked OK whenever he's had a chance - just that he's never had much opportunity (I don't think he's played once for Pearson - mainly because of injuries, rather than not being selected). Like you, IF he's fit now, I think he could be an option.
Darkon84 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 You mean that slide -rule passing ,match winning Moussa wev'e all come to love and admire ? Yep.......we totally miss him ! Did you just copy and paste that response from a different thread and replace Danns, with Moussa?
SaltyDog Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Exactly, so you should realise that Pearson isn't going to just chuck in a young lad who has only had League 1 experience. I understand that.. it was just my opinion and take that while Gally is/was fit NP would prefer to start with him, that is all...
Simo86 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I understand that.. it was just my opinion and take that while Gally is/was fit NP would prefer to start with him, that is all... Fair enough, i think it's more NP wanting to play a right sided midfielder tucked in to bolster the centre (like when Oakley played there in his first stint) rather than two out and out wingers such as Marshall and Dyer. He's deployed Drinkwater there as well since we've signed him.
