Karljohn Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Would like a home tie but would also like a trip to Anfield, think we have as much chance of winning at Anfield as we would at somewhere like Bolton or Stoke. Woke up this morning with a vision of 40,000 city fans waving scarves at Wembley!
JonnyBoy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Bolton away, we perform better away? worst draw would be either Sunderland (home or away) and Birmingham (home or away) if they beat Chelsea. Tottenham look very shakey so wouldnt be dissapointed if we drew against them. Liverpool away would be a good day out, hate the scum
Guy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Those two words send shivers down my spine. A day I'll never forget, for all the wrong reasons. (WYCOMBE WANDERERS) Me too. I was their talisman Steve Brown's postman (when I lived in Northampton at the time) - the black guy. I was wishing them a gracious defeat on their big day out when I saw him one morning in the week leading up to the game and i think that might have fired him and his colleagues up a bit to do well. Hope I wasn't to blame for that and City's massive subsequent decline from grace in those 11 years since.......
Guy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 I might be wrong here and somebody correct me if I am but have we actually had a Premier League team at home in any competition since we were last in the Prem. ourselves in 2004? I think not. I still do think Portsmouth (as they were back then of course) were the last Prem. team we actually hosted (May 2004).

Corky Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 We also had West Brom in the Carling Cup last year too.
Guy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Haha hope you sent his mail via Inverness. Still at Royal Mail? Ha ha, nope, I'm no longer there - I got the bullet from the RM b**tards in Northampton back in 2004! - and my life's never really been the same since then either strangely enough! I love Kitch's post about us getting a lower league club in the quarters and in turn potentially undoing the 11 year old Wycombe hoodoo. Stranger things have happened??!
Guy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 We also had West Brom in the Carling Cup last year too. Doh! - Man.City in R3 of course, Sol's first touch = goal (mind like a sieve!).Yes, I forgot about the WBA one also (and with good reason too - Sven's fielded side that night) - cheers!

I'm at Notts MC and have been for nearly 10 years now. I'll leave, but only for the right job. Yeah I think Kitch is on to a winner with that theory, it's got to happen sooner or later.
lcfcbaby Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Ah I remember villa classic game! Henderson saved a penalty but we still lost!

Fox92 Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Ball number 6 (not sure if mentioned elsewhere).
Kitchandro Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Ball number 6 (not sure if mentioned elsewhere). I don't think I can bring myself to watch
Basingstoke Fox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Ah I remember villa classic game! Henderson saved a penalty but we still lost! One of my favourite memories. We were desperately unlucky in the end.

Yeah I think Kitch is on to a winner with that theory, it's got to happen sooner or later. I'm praying we get either Stevenage (if they beat Spurs) or Crawley (if they do Stoke) at home in the quarters - and hopefully it will right all the wrongs in those 11 years since Wycombe as Kitch is suggesting! Was I to blame for the last 11 years or Peter Taylor?! I was at Royal Mail (on deliveries) for nearly 14 years until early 2004, got sacked for late attendance (even though it was relatively short lived) and yet there were others there far worse on a consistent basis and who are still there now.....the mind boggles. They obviously didn't like me in the end! Good luck in making your get away from there!
Fox92 Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 I'm praying we get either Stevenage (if they beat Spurs) or Crawley (if they do Stoke) at home in the quarters Stoke have already won 0-2.
Finnegan Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Ah I remember villa classic game! Henderson saved a penalty but we still lost! JOSH FCUKING LOW.
Guy Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Tottenham and Vila too? I think Villa might have been away (League Cup) when O'Neill was there but yes, Spurs in 2006 was another one - so I was well out with my earlier surmising! Mark De Vries and Stevie Hughes were awesome that game for a hapless Levein team beating pedigree Prem. Spurs! Wonder if we'll get the same sceanrio now in the quarters?!
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 Whoever we get, come on you Blues
thybluefox Posted 19 February 2012 Posted 19 February 2012 I can see us getting drawn against Chelsea or Birmingham away, then Brum beating Chelsea in their replay. And then losing to them.
