FantasticMrFuchs Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Has anyone noticed "Shooting Star/Meteorite" shooting across the sky tonight? Twitter and Facebook has had quite a few people saying they had seen it, Reports from Edinburgh, Manchester, Lincoln and now Leicestershire. Seems very strange.

cambridgefox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 i understand there was a shower of shit at the King Power this afternoon wearing sky blue! Shame i missed that i love stuff like that,several times a year you get meteor showers but nothing like that.

cambridgefox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Tonight is one of the best nights to see (shooting stars),although some are only as big as a grain of sand they hit the earth at such a high speed causing the flash. this was taken this evening in north east england
Jagdinho Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 I was letting the dogs out earlier, around 8.30pm and did manage to see it, but thought nothing of it! Now I have seen this I feel fairly happy, just to think I've seen a meteorite thingy.

Basically, Venus and Jupiter will align and this will be visible at around 2.30am. Funnily enough, I noticed earlier that what looked like Jupiter and another bright planet / star looked like they were unusually close together. So that explains it.
