PutneyFox Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Cheers for the info mate, Not a problem mate. £2.75 for a beer in the Fox as well. I will be in there fro opening onwards. If I can't get a ticket for the game I will be watching it there with me "converted to Leicester for a day" Fulham fans having playful banter with the Chelsea fans in there. Luckily I know em all!! Trouble free pub tbh. The one's nearer Chelsea are the one's you have to be careful for.
NeilyBoy Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Hi Lestajigs I live in Putney, for many years now (2 stops from Stamford Bridge on the tube) & I use a pub called the Fox @ the top of the High Street. I want to come to the match just to be able to be in that pub with my Leicester shirt on. If any of the lads going can get pics of fans in their colours out front you'll get a big sloppy internet kiss from me.
demon_dog Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I regularly visit London on business, for those of you thinking of using the Underground I know that an all day travel ticket costs £7. 50 An oyster card is much cheaper if you travel on a regular basis. For a one off trip it's not worth getting though. My tip is either drive to Stanmore and catch the tube or alternatively Wembley park underground (large car park there), cost for parking is very cheap on Sundays. (Think it's only about £1 for all day till midnight) Enjoy the trip.
multipack Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Hello Everyone I live 10 mins walk from stamford bridge. Desperate to get a ticket for this as you would guess. Went to the league cup game few years ago. On chelsea match days, i have noticed lots of away fans use the white horse at parsons green. http://www.whitehorsesw6.com. If you love your ales, its the pub to be. has outside area too Fulham broadway shopping centre with a pizza express, nandos, and a big weatherspoons. Outside there loads of bars but most will be home fans only. Usually one pub is the away bar. Parking will be free on sunday around the ground but will be hard to get away after for a few hours. suggest parking near a tube station further down the line and getting the tube to the ground or walk it. it looks far on the map but some are so close.

I am a Leicester fan & I have been in there in me hat etc... last week Wolves fans were in there in tops. Because the Fox ( @& Wetherspoons on opposite side) are bang next to Putney main station fans tend to bowl in. I am getting stick already from the Chelsea lot in there already but they know i will have the last laugh! If I don't get a ticket I will be watching the game in the Fox. In fact Lee the Guvnor will reserve me a table!! Top man. He is a Spurs fan who hates Chelsea! & he may... just for the day change the name of the pub from the Fox to the Foxes!

Thank god my mum gave me the okay! Good luck, I couldn't even get into the Brighton away day on general sale. Imagine how pissed I was living literally across the road from the Amex!
NiftyFox Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I think the tickets will go to general sale but they will sell out very quickly with thousands of fans trying to get the last remaining tickets. I'm thinking of buying a membership just to get tickets for this game.
Simo86 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I shall be watching this at 6 in the morning in Mexico. Thank god for the 24hr sports bar that's at my hotel The question is stay awake and carry on drinking through the night or wake up early to watch it............decisions decisions.
