Sometimes you just have to keep the absolute guff in check before it overtakes certain areas. Whether this is through deleting or merging (the amount of times mods and admins get accused of deleting something when it's been merged is ridiculous) depends. Think of it as akin to weeding the garden. It seems to be working given how popular the site is. I act as though I do things. Most of my modship involves humerous editing.

It's also very easy to check if your post has been deleted. And in reply to Babs, I was still getting abusive messages weeks after I stopped posting, let alone gave up my magical powers.
