Cropwellfox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 We need 21 points from our eight remaining games. If we're very lucky we might scrape in with 20, but I doubt it. We must immediately transform from a woefully inconsistant bunch of nearly-men into division destoyers. Not gonna happen. Yep you just know that this time next week things will look shitty again
Guest Bilo Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 To be honest, as much as I would love to see us go up, we'd get torn a new one in the PL! Wouldn't be end of the world if we didn't make it this year. With the squad as it is yes, but with £90m burning a hole in the Thais' sky rockets we'd strengthen the squad significantly. Probably rather more wisely than we did this summer as well.
HEGGSY Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 whos this in your picture, looks like my mate Ryan Mcgivern.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 As an addendum, I actually have a funny feeling that if we do make the play-offs we'll be in with one hell of a shot. Firstly, we've tended to do well against the sides in the top half of the table. Out of all the sides in the top 10 we've played twice, only Reading have done the double over us. We've beaten Southampton twice, as well as Brighton, Blackpool, Birmingham, Cardiff and Hull at home. Secondly, we'll need a run of form to get into the play-offs and we all know that a side going into the play-offs on form is always dangerous.
Larry_LCFC Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 whos this in your picture, looks like my mate Ryan McGivern aka useless bastard.
Area88 Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Leicester are practically guranteed to be in the playoffs now, their performances have got better and better. Jermaine Beckford is amazing, one of the best strikers in the league and Llyod Dyer is back to full, dynamite form which saw us in the playoffs 2 years ago. Leicester City are the Arsenal of the league and a comeback we shall make.

Leicesterpool Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 We keep living to Die Another Day, I've notice on this forum there's one or two negativity about the foxes reaching the play offs, why? we're just five points off, a win against Forest is just two points, then dare I say it Peterborough next week another win, plus the week after that Doncaster home we should win.

CKB Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I'll just be happy if we have a somewhat strong end to the season and if no play-offs then fine, we hopefully will take that form into the next season

It's not negativity, it's being realistic. I mean look at your plan. We're going to win every game, while every other team is just going to stop turning up entirely. Realistically we need a minimum of 20 points from eight games. It won't happen.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 It's not negativity, it's being realistic. I mean look at your plan. Yep, we need to reach the 75 point mark, with 8 games left that's 2.5 points a game. Forest- Win Peterborough- Win Doncaster- Win Ipswich- Draw Millwall- Win Burnley- Win West ham-Draw Leeds- Lose This realistic results would give us 17 points, however it may come down to the last game of the season at leeds...
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Can we all look at this with 6 games to go? If it's still on, great. Someone on here can do a comparison of everyone's run-in and we can go from there.

This - and the fact the games are winnable makes it look possible when we've shown no sign of a winning run together all season. Millwall at home, donny away, Ipswich at home. Three games we would expect to get more than one point return for, and that's precisely why it's a pipe dream at best and deluded at worst. Shame though as the playoffs are there for the taking.
Area88 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Exactly the playoffs are there for the taking and the side has peaked at just the right time. All the most important players have hit their peak just at the right time, we look pretty unstoppable going forward

Area88 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 If we win at Peterborough I think we'll be back in the mix again. The teams above us are imploding and dropping so many points.
Guest Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 If we win at Peterborough I think we'll be back in the mix again. The teams above us are imploding and dropping so many points. but sadly they ALL need to drop so many MORE points than us.
Area88 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The thing is FIF, they are dropping more points than us, if you look at the form guide for the last 8 games, we are third in the table.
Guest Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 And yet we're still 11th needing to get in front of 5 teams with only a handful of games for them all to mess up and for us to actually beat bottom dwellers like Notts trees. Don't get me wrong I'm hoping it happens but until we're in 6th place I won't get my hopes up too high.
