Bausor Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 We have a game in hand on some teams, Brighton and blackpool for example win on saturday against hull and beat forest it's back on, There will still be some strange results right up until and on the final day of the season, I believe it's going to be very close if we win our next 2 home games Foxes never quit
Happy Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Yes it bloody is over when was the last time we won 3 games in a row, we need to put a big winning run to have any chance of getting into those playoffs and we haven't looked that likely of doing that at all, and that isn't going to change just accept the fact we aint going up.
Guest MattP Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Team full of inconsistent players, it is over as the chance of this lot putting together a consistent run is pretty much zero.

ozleicester Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 The simple fact that its unlikely we will thee in a row.... suddenly makes it probable. What we should have done, was win more games at the start of the season
norfolkfox222 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 No chance. foxes never quit but sadly even I cant ever see us making it this year. Roll on pre season!!!
lcfc1994 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I still believe somehow we may just get into the play offs, I'm not saying we deserve to be there but this league is one of the most unpredictable leagues in the football world. I know all about us not winning three on the trot and all that, but as a foxes fan I believe
purpleronnie Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 We dont need to win 3 in a row we need to win probably 7 out of 9....at least.
FrankieADZ Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 well we are consistent at being inconsistent If the players believe they can make it to the play off then they can certainly have a good shot atm, as the Championship is such an unpredictable league.
cc_star Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 It was over when we turned up at Brighton, put in a non-performance along with the ref ruining the game.... This false hope is it what's causing frustration to boil over into personal abuse. Get real.
lcfc1994 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 It annoys me so much people saying 'season over' all the time. I hate that phrase. Fair enough to use it if we had three games left to play and sat in somewhere like 17th position. But we're not! We are 12th with a load of points to play for! My opinion is that most people saying 'season over' are just saying that because they want to feel as if they were right if we do not reach the play offs.
Bausor Posted 22 March 2012 Author Posted 22 March 2012 If we beat hull on Saturday we stand just 2 points behind them, we both have games in hand against teams above us, Yes we are inconsitent but the teams above us can't be much more consitent can they 2 or 3 teams around the playlets will have poor ends to the season IMO Our run in isn't to hard either I will agree lose on sat and that's it for me too but it's the Leicester way that we will win It's nice to have the debate about making the playoffs that alone tells you it's not over
NiftyFox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I always said after the Hull game I will decide if its over or not. Knowing us we will leave it late and looking at our fixtures we will be playing teams below us. Keeping believing and supporting City until the end, you just may be surprised, every team goes on a run.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 we cant string 2 or 3 results together, never mind getting anywhere near the play-offs, come on be realistic, we all want City to get promoted but lets face facts our defence is woeful beyond belief and we have only won 2 games on the trot once all season, laughable, sorry but next season is our best chance, well hopefully anyway

To stand any real chance it would be better if we were playing teams above us, beating teams below us, if we can actually manage to do that just maintains our position and needs us relying on a lot of teams above us all failing.
iamafox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Our season should be over. We have not been good enough all season so we don't deserve to go up. It's unbelievable how some people think we can still do it despite us continuing to concede too many goals and drop too many points away from home. I don't care if anyone disagrees with me but how can we still reach the play-offs if we continue to be inconsistent?

Yes we don't deserve to go up but because other teams have been inconsistent this has given us some hope.

Guest Col city fan Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Who cares about 'don't deserve to go up?' I WANT to get to Wembley. The atmos is fookin fantastic in the play off finals. I'd rather think we had half a chance than no chance at all. Let's just see. Huge ask yes, but it ain't over till its over.
iamafox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Yes we don't deserve to go up but because other teams have been inconsistent this has given us some hope. But look at the teams that have been in the play-offs for the majority of the season. Some probably had inconsistent spells but how are they still in the play-offs? It is because we have not been able to capitalise on teams that have slipped up and that has happened so many times this season, which is why we're still mid-table!
Bausor Posted 22 March 2012 Author Posted 22 March 2012 Win the next 2 home games and see where we are IMO right back in there and if we get some more results go out way who knows It's all about what way around our results go say we would of won last night them beat hull but drawn the forest no one would be moaning would they That's all I'm saying

stourbridgefox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I think we've still got a half chance of making the play-offs. But even if we haven't, what's wrong with enjoying the remaining games? I don't think we deserved or even looked like making the play-offs in 1996 but we did and we all know where that ended up. If we don't make it this year, then roll on a Summer of ridiculous speculation followed by a season on never having a chance of living up to the hype.
topharry123 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I'm usually optimistic but last night really did it for me. It was the most important game of our season with the results the night before and we blew it. While it's not mathematically over, we'd have to win at least 7 out of 9 to be in with a chance and i do not see that happening the way our defense is playing right now. I just hope that Nigel clears some of the deadwood out and rebuilds next season. We have the fire power now to take us up but we need to improve everywhere else (with the exception of goalkeeper)
