m00nie Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Maybe people just don't like being miserable bastards. Obviously they don't think that, they just hope it. but people actually believe it, not just hope for it, there's optimism and then there's flying pigs.. fk all to do with being a miserable bastard..
Haydos Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 but people actually believe it, not just hope for it, there's optimism and then there's flying pigs.. fk all to do with being a miserable bastard.. It's not as unrealistic as you're making it out to be though. Yeah, if I had to put money on it I'd bet that we wouldn't make it. But at the end of the day this league often makes no sense. You might as well just give up even following us until july 1st with that attitude.
Daggers Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 You might as well just give up even following us until july 1st with that attitude. Or just enjoy a football match for its own sake?

MC Prussian Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 We've got the easiest run-in to come. Look at the next five games: F"r*st (h) Peterborough (a) Doncaster (h) Ipswich (a) Millwall (a) And that's why we'll **** it up. Or maybe not.

Just because something isn't a dead cert you think that it's comparable to pigs flying? There is a middle ground. Fair enough. Enjoy our last few individual games if that's your bag. I just don't think it's fair for you to knock others for believing in something that although more unlikely than likely, is still entirely realistic.

AlphaMaleFox Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Whatever happened to just enjoying football matches without all the will we/won't we every game?! Good, still I hope I'm not the only one, who don't gives a sheeet that it's over or not over. Fcuk a promotion, fcuk the Premier League - nothing we can do so stop to worry about. Just enjoy a single game, the football and the atmosphere!
Bausor Posted 24 March 2012 Author Posted 24 March 2012 It's still not over Another home win and 2 points away with a trip to peterbrough and a home game against Donny
m00nie Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 There is a middle ground. not on here .. its one extreme or the other..
katieakita Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Stay positive its still possible miracles do happen
Ozwin Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 It's still not over Another home win and 2 points away with a trip to peterbrough and a home game against Donny You're assuming the other teams lose though.

DanTheMan Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 If we'd seen out the Blackpool game, we'd actually be only be 2pts off the playoffs since Blackpool currently occupy 6th... I've been playing if's and but's all season - my heart will hope for us to sneak in, but my brain knows that it's very unlikely now! it was nice today to go to a game today and just enjoy (mostly, the last few minutes were stressful) it for the football in its own right!
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 No, not because you don't believe, because you're knocking others for having a bit of hope. Nothing wrong with a bit of hope mate! I mean, Crouch has just scored what must be the goal of the season!!! Anything can happen!!
Webbo Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 It's the hope that kills you. Yep, we;ve had too many disappointments in the last 2 months to get too excited over 1 result. I'll just take 1 game at a time and see where that takes us.
katieakita Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 We've got the easiest run-in to come. Look at the next five games: F"r*st (h) Peterborough (a) Doncaster (h) Ipswich (a) Millwall (a) And that's why we'll **** it up. Or maybe not. Brighton are 4th 7pts above us and we have a game in hand. Their next 4 games are home vs Middlesborough away vs Burnley home vs Reading away vs West Ham So stay positive. Up the city
Bausor Posted 24 March 2012 Author Posted 24 March 2012 You're assuming the other teams lose though. No it's our game in hand on Tuesday so win and 2 points off the playoffs
Tielemans63 Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 To be honest, as much as I would love to see us go up, we'd get torn a new one in the PL! Wouldn't be end of the world if we didn't make it this year.
ramadaone Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 On Betfair we are 4/1 to finish in the top six and 8/1 to get promotion - how do those odds grab you ?
deep blue Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 To be honest, as much as I would love to see us go up, we'd get torn a new one in the PL! Wouldn't be end of the world if we didn't make it this year. I don't see we couldn't compete in the prem. We would have a good solid base from our current squad, and the whole summer for NFP to bring in good additions and gel them.
dave the caveman Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 We need 21 points from our eight remaining games. If we're very lucky we might scrape in with 20, but I doubt it. We must immediately transform from a woefully inconsistant bunch of nearly-men into division destoyers. Not gonna happen.
JonnyBoy Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 Stay positive its still possible miracles do happen whos this in your picture, looks like my mate
