I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Who`s your money on? Tough call, but i`ll go for the Saffer.
Haydos Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Lee Westwood is such a moody bellend. He did just miss out on the play off, gotta be frustrating. I'll go with Watson with the momentum.
Ozwin Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 I don't even like golf but this shit is gripping. I say it every year haha.
Donut Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 WOW Bubba must have rope hooked that 40 yards around the trees, unbelieveable shot
Ozwin Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 He deserves to win the Masters now for that shot alone.
Donut Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Sensational. The ''golf boys'' are out on the green congratulating him. Awesome play from such a natural player

Donut Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 You can probably detect from my posts im a pretty keen golfer but to see someone like Bubba win a major is really refreshing Its great to see players play the game naturally. Theres so much talk written in magazines about swing theory that its just so good to see a natural shotmaker hitting the shots he sees in his mind. If players like Bubba, Rickie Fowler, Tommy Gainey, Jim Furyk can all play the PGA tour, it just shows that hard work and knowing your own game can get you a long way
ScouseFox Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 THAT shot out the trees was outrageous. What a way to win it.
Donut Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Tell you something else as well, Patrick Cantlay (the low amateur) is going to be a real player
kingfox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Didn't know golf was so enjoyable and good to watch, only really started watching the majors in the last two years, and I have been gripped by nearly every single one. Close like that, a play-off to decide and an incredible hook bend to from the trees and pines to win you the Championship is incredible. Didn't think Watson had it in him, his mental strength has lacked at times before, but he seemed really in the zone today. Well done Bubba.
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Happy with my two pre tournament punts. 45/1 £10 on Bubba and 150/1 £5 ew on O'Hair Also stuck another £10 on Bubba at 16/1 earlier today
Head Honcho Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Ooooh did I win? So tired last night I was asleep by 9pm..............nice to wake up £630 richer.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 What a tournament after the first 10 there was about a dozen people that lead or co-lead at one stage. Last day was brilliant 2 hole in ones an Albatross, tripple Bogeys by leaders and some brilliant recovery shots.
The Blur Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Watched the last round, it was my first time- I enjoyed it immensely though I admit I don't think I would enjoy watching the other rounds as much. I was just wondering whether this is an expectional one off major or does majors usually have close finishes and packed leaderboards? Is watching other rounds enjoyable or not?

I like watching any golf event and any round. Some people generally like majors as there is more of that prestidge and only involves the top 50 in the world, past winners and qualifiers. Last couple of years it has been really close but there has also been a few blowouts along the way. For example there is a really good tournament on the USPGA tour but it obviously wont get such a following.
