Daggers Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Please can everybody understand this one thing: Players do not "play for the shirt". You will not see it, it's pointless asking to see it and you can't slate a player because they haven't done it. Your watching the wrong sport, you are indulging the wrong hobby - what you see on the pitch are men being paid to do a job not to provide the passion lacking from your life because you work in a dull job, your parents don't understand you or your sex life is shit. Have a nice Sunday

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. But...which sport should I be watching to make up for my crap job and shit sex life? Sign me up!
davieG Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Passion, it's not always visible and besides it's not necessary what we should expect is full commitment in return for the wages they are paid not because they play for LCFC.

Babylon Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Bloody Gallagher has no passion, bloody Konchesky showing too much passion.... boo and hang them all.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 I'm fed up of the phrases "pearson will sort them out" "we will sort it out on the training ground on monday" "pearson will get it right"
Mark_w Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 "Sack Pearson" and "*Players Name* Is Shit" or any variation of those phrases needs to be banned IMO.
Scow Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 (insert striker name) is lazy because he doesn't run around like Iain Hume.
Guest Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Is this the new half time entertainment for this season?
THEFATBASTARD Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Its clearly a penalty she has collapsed the scrum..
Zingari Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Lets ban free speech No , we must start thinking like capitalists , I say let’s start charging for it!
Scow Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 No , we must start thinking like capitalists , I say let’s start charging for it! ...then use the money to lend to those who can't pay it back and thus screwing up the economy...
ozleicester Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Bah...clearly no-one is playing for the shirt in this sport either

roachmachine Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Well one thing i think we can all agree on, is that this season has been to say the very least, frustrating, not only with the performances, but the distinct lack of passion and commitment in our players for most of the season, well with one or two exceptions that is. We will never know if SGE would have done any better, but i firmly believe that changing the manager mid season, is not conducive to success, well not very often anyway. So i'm hoping our owners don't get trigger happy in the summer, and dismiss NP, cos i'm not quite sure where that would leave us, tho it has to be said, i'm not really for or against him, the jury is still out for me, and i will add, i do think he needs to learn from his previous mistakes, of relying on the so called old guard. And provided he is given the time in the summer, he needs to ditch the likes of Gallagher, Wellens, Dyer, and co, and bring in some fresh new hungry players, who may actually give a damn. If most of them showed as much passion and effort as the fans, we would prob be top of the league, unfortunately they don't and that has been all too apparent for most of the season. We will all have different ideas about what should or shouldn't be done, who should be bought or sold, when to give up on the (now in my opinion, unrealistic hope of promotion) tho to be fair i did that after the shambolic display that was the home performance against Barnsley, but at the end of the day we all want lcfc to succeed. Roll on next season, tho it has to be said i won't be setting my expectations too high, mind you i didn't this yr,ive found over the yr's for me the best way of dealing with being a long suffering lcfc fan, is to expect the worst then anything better is a bonus , others will have different ways of dealing with it and fair play to them, but i can fully recommend a pinch of optomism, with a large dose of realism usually works for me, i buy a euromillions ticket every fri but i don't expect to win lol :scarf:

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Anything mentioning Ian Dowie or Paulo Di Canio for manager.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Nigel is a God-- Keep Pearson-- Give him time ( that would be ok if it wasn't so ridiculous.) Nigel will sort it out.--
