Rincewind Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Thanks. I thought they might be close. I did it by eliminating the answers that were probably wrong or least likely which on most only left one. Looking for the wrong answer is easier than looking for the right answer strange as it sounds.
Daggers Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Who fancies giving me a job then? I'm looking for something where I can set my own hours, have lots of foreign travel and pull around £75K. I'm not keen on targets or performance management, so if you were planning any of that you can just fvck right off.
Rincewind Posted 21 May 2012 Posted 21 May 2012 Was going to put this in How was your day but cannot search it. Just had a call from the company that promised to take me on. She said they just want a declaration witnessed by a solicitor about the previous places I worked because a couple have moved changed names or gone out of business and something from my doctors about my fitness and health to say that I'll be OK. Once that is done they can do the induction. I was thinking of going to the doctors to ask for a sick note because of my fitness. I am able to walk etc but cannot run or lift heavy things so it would hold me back for several types of work. I was hoping the place they are putting me on would have improved but she said its still the same. Only difference there are more patrols. I bet they've took the telly away too.. Have to check my email now for the paperwork sent to me.
Rincewind Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 Had an email from that online PC company. It was recommended and had to do an application. They are still processing it. Don't think I've done the test yet. Thought it was this thread. About forgot about it. Anyway if I pass it will always be a back up work even if I do get a job. not heard from the Tesco one. either no good or they are still going through applications.

foxfanazer Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 Looking for a new job! It never used to be this difficult

Daggers Posted 25 May 2012 Posted 25 May 2012 MI6 They, quite rightly, rejected my application. We don't have common goals.
Rincewind Posted 25 May 2012 Posted 25 May 2012 Just got a letter from the office that deal with JSA. It is dated 18th may and say my JSA will change to income based JSA on the 16th May. Nothing wrong with that but it's the 25th today so the changes are in force anyway. My next JSA is 1st June so back to normal now. I am wondering if they have told the benefit office my circumstances have changed who will stop them without checking first? Happened twice already. The sanction I had has ended yet they have still included notes about what to do if I disagree with the decision. Is the JSA taxable now. Just thought I'd seen something about it somewhere. Gone up to £71 pw now.

It's not at all surprising, yet still quite amusing, to see your naevity plunge to new depths. Who needs mi6, green peace will deal with global threats by spraying everyone with (sustainably sourced) rose petals

MooseBreath Posted 25 May 2012 Posted 25 May 2012 I find insults born out of a perceived superior attitude, generally carry more weight if they are spelt correctly. I have similar feelings about unnecessary commas.

Kyle_Le_Don Posted 25 May 2012 Posted 25 May 2012 Got a bucthers job... Had no experience had a trial and got it. Dealt with goat intestines wrapped round tripe. Mmmm!
Rincewind Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Had a phone call from Tesco interview next Thursday. Getting fed up waiting for that security firm to sort things out. Seems they are delaying things in the hope I'll give up/ Soliciter is going to contact them. I'll see how the interview at Tesco goes. May be a better job. Went by it Friday night to have a look. Cou;d be open next month. Its near Braunstom Gate, not too far to walk. No buses so the hours won't matter. If I can get a role in the delivery section may be OK Some heavy lifting maybe but there won't be deliveries non-stop. Forgot to get the name of the person who phoned me. Got his tel number maybe a search would give the name.
Uncle Phil Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Interview in Torquay on Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed! Got to get there for 10 am though, early start that one.
Zingari Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Interview in Torquay on Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed! Got to get there for 10 am though, early start that one. Is it at Fawlty Towers?
Rincewind Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Had a text from the jobcentre a hour ago reminding me of an appointment with an assessor tomorrow/ Told last time that I could not put it off as she wanted to see me. Bet its about the job she selected and I decided in the end that the job description was different to what I first thought. I was sanctioned because of it and have since appealed. If I could get pension credits now I would be drawing more than JSA and still qualify for allowances. Its daft really they want you to work untill 67 yet are willing to pay more if you take pension credits. Main reason is that it is handled by another department and it makes the jobless figures look better. Have to wait until July next year though
