Jimothy Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Mine scrapes in at 99 on the Irish list, but doesn't make the English list, even though I have no Irish that I know of in my family. My original surname makes none of the lists though, anyone got a Danish list?
daib0 Posted 12 May 2012 Author Posted 12 May 2012 Mine scrapes in at 99 on the Irish list, but doesn't make the English list, even though I have no Irish that I know of in my family. My original surname makes none of the lists though, anyone got a Danish list? It's gotta be here - you've got a thousand to choose from! Also gives how many with each name ... http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~dnkcen/FAQ/1000surnames.html
Rincewind Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Its got someone same initials as me living in Leicester then Stafford and one with same as my brother living in derbyshire. Theres quite a few living in lacashire. I know my niece is at uni there but didn't know about the others.
Jimothy Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 It's gotta be here - you've got a thousand to choose from! Also gives how many with each name ... http://www.rootsweb....00surnames.html There's a variation of it at 394. Mine had an "i" after the "A". I know there are 6 people (not including me) with that surname in this country, and obviously not too many in it's native Denmark. Really rare name.
Zingari Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Any one else have a double-barrelled surname? Yes , my family are called 14 and 62 on the list of English surname
StanSP Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 No, my surname isn't included on any of those lists, but I knew it wouldn't be anyway. It is rare and most people I meet, don't know how to spell it anyway. Exactly same as me. Wasn't expecting my name at all on the list. I hate when I give banks or other important places my details, spell my name out, yet when I get the post through from them, they've spelt my flippin name wrong!
I am Rod Hull Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Yes , my family are called 14 and 62 on the list of English surname I though you were more of a 14 (Eng), 31 (Scot), 81 (Eng)
Zingari Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I though you were more of a 14 (Eng), 31 (Scot), 81 (Eng) No I come from a long line of Wright hyphen Cox
MikeyT Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 My name is nowhere to be seen and didn't expect to either.
