EcclesallOwl Posted 7 June 2012 Posted 7 June 2012 Wouldnt get your hopes up, trying to not be bias, which i hard cause hes a ****, but from us playing against him in recent years he struggles with pace running at him Yeah I get the impression that he's a bit of a twat but so is Madine and he's a cracking player. If he gets his head down and grafts I think he will do well for your lot. Although if he starts to dick around him and big Madine could be quite are drinking partnership. That's the dream Him & Madine on a night out will be lethal. But Madine's banned from most of Sheffield so they might not get the chance to start the partnership
BHAFC Braders Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Bet he's laughing at this thread now Biggest club of his career so far But seriously.. he could either be really good or really bad. Brighton fans are gutted he's not going to them (they hate us now) and from another club they said he wasn't great. WHO KNOWS! No we don't , best of luck to the lad , you're right I am gutted but wish you lot and him the best of luck (apart from against us obviously)
Guest Bilo Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Stick somebody with pace against Mattock and he'll be brutally bent over, the only 19 year old I saw playing for City with less pace was Ryan McGivern. He's solid enough in the tackle and marks well, but don't expect him to bomb forward or read the game particularly well. Furthermore, the lad is thick as shit.

AKCJ Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 I think he's a decent player with a class left foot. Shame he's a complete ****, but hey.
EcclesallOwl Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Are you comfortable with signing former United players? We never sign any of their permanent players.. JP McGovern we signed the last time we went up from League One and he was on loan at United for like 2 games.. Danny Batth was on loan at United for a game and Keith Treacy was on loan there and they both took us up this season
Fox92 Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 To be fair, I wasn't pleased when he left. But if a player doesn't want to play for Leicester City Football Club then **** him. He has a good left foot, and he is a decent player. But Sheffield Wednesday

EcclesallOwl Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 We have Ben Marshall Well that's just unnecessary Low blow my friend, low blow.

Fox92 Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 My local team usually play Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Doncaster in pre season matches. Should be interesting when\if Mattock turns up (for me anyway, as a Leicester fan) this year. I remember once when Sheffield United played down here, both Lillian Nalis and Ade Akinbiyi played

Fox92 Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Local team?? Yeah, I live near Sheffield. Just had a look actually, pre season fixtures against Lincoln and Mansfield so far. They are the biggest teams listed.
EcclesallOwl Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Yeah, I live near Sheffield. Just had a look actually, pre season fixtures against Lincoln and Mansfield so far. They are the biggest teams listed. Which team is it?
Fox92 Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 Which team is it? Worksop Town. I know they are bad! Don't think they've got much money, thats why the high profile friendlies are usually good for the whole club. I know Neil Warnock always buys a season ticket to raise money as well. Would be fantastic to see them in the league/just below League 2.

Surely warnock can afford 50k a season or something?

One of our younger players is from Worksop and never stops going on about it. Don't think we're playing them this year though.

Yeah, he was in my year at school. Just had a look on the website, doesn't look like they are playing you lot, or Sheffield United. How much is it for a season ticket? Surely warnock can afford 50k a season or something? I don't know. I still think it's a nice/good thing to do though regardless of the amount.
MPH Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 As soon as i heard he had been released i thought of Sheffield Wednesday because of the Mandaric connection. However if what has been said about Mattock/ Mandaric is true, then I can not believe for even one second Mattock would want to be at a club he is involved at again and as I think there will be more than one club chasing his signature, he would definitely have more options. Really like Sheff Wed as a club but in HIS eyes there will be several clubs of equal potential he could choose from should they become interested in him.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 Weak player who likes to hit women still manages to play at Champo level. I hate this world.
EcclesallOwl Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 What he said in the paper today.. The 22-year-old from Leicester said: “I know it’s a big city and I’m glad to be back up there - just on the right side of the city this time.” :D
