Leicesterpool Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 Good luck Engelbert!, sadly I don't think he's going to win, this year there are so many good songs compared to last year. To be fair I felt Blue's song "I Can" was the best song of the evening, but we still didn't win! Go to say I think this songs going to win http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCPGu8kchmI The singer is hot!
Jimothy Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 You're right she is hot, but I think Greece better hope they don't win. They can't afford to host it next year, and neither can Spain, they've already said they don't want to win.
Saxondale Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 Did anybody see the Panorama the other night about the shitty Azerbaijani government and their evil shenanigans? Amongst other horrid things, they knocked down loads of people's houses, paying them a fraction of their value, in order to make way for their big Eurovision folly stadium. Hopefully the contest all goes tits up and makes them look incompetent as well as corrupt.
Orkneyfox Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 You can see how hard up the Greeks are, she can't afford the whole of a costume!
Webbo Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 You can see how hard up the Greeks are, she can't afford the whole of a costume! And the lyrics were written by the YTS lad.
Webbo Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 Graham Norton hosts it now. I don't think he'd have the same reaction.
Vacamion Posted 24 May 2012 Posted 24 May 2012 I have hosted many a Eurovish party, Foor some reason, taking on some "special cookies" and marking the acts out of 10 (shaggability) seems to make the evening swing magnificently. Enge should have put his hand in his pocket when LCFC were in administration, so my hope he doesn't win is supported by decades of anti Brit hate in the voting patterns... Enjoy, everyone.

Nothing to do with the dross we've served up then
Rincewind Posted 25 May 2012 Posted 25 May 2012 Never really been a fan of it. There are thousands of new songs out every day all over Europe why should this one day a year selection deserve the publicity more than the others? The majority of the songs are awful and the voting is country biased motivated by political rivalry. Even the songs that win are rarely heard of again if sang in another language other than English. I even find it hard to view it as just dross entertainment and not care about the quality, the tongue in cheek presenting and the waste of three hours on a Saturday night. Besides I was never a fan of Terry Wogan even though his remarks during the show fitted in perfectly. Not sure about Graham Norton Never see his show although he has good guests on. Too camp for my liking. I prefer the voting part to the actual contest.

Rincewind Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 Watching the football and saw a snippet of Eng on the news not keen on it. Could just click on all the links in the other thread and stop if they are crap Get through them all in a minute. rather than sitting through two hours of it.
Kitchandro Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 LEEEEEEIIIIIIICESTERRRRRRRSHIRE LA LA LA, LEICESTERSHIRE LA LA LA The song is just not Eurovisiony, it belongs in the 60s, it's not upbeat or ridiculous or cheesy. This shows always good for checking out some European babes, and also generally having a laugh at some hilarious Europeans.
stourbridgefox Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 Quite liked that Albanian women. If Englebert belongs in the 50s then this Lithuanian bloke belongs in the 70s.
stourbridgefox Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 This is hitting new lows. Why am I watching this? Fecking Russian Grannies??
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 This is hitting new lows. Why am I watching this? Fecking Russian Grannies?? I found it quite arousing.
Rincewind Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 Watching it during half time. Italy isn't too bad. Best of the ones I've seen so far. Estonia now. Average. have they kicked for the second half?
orangecity23 Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 Is that James Dreyfus hosting the show? Nope, it was Wil Wheaton
Leicesterpool Posted 26 May 2012 Author Posted 26 May 2012 One of the worst eurovision's I've ever seen, Enkle's song wasn't the best but didn't deserve to be second from bottom, but asking a 76 year old to sing in the eurovision is simply stupid. Sweden who won, song wasn't bad but didn't deserve to win. Also how did Norway come bottom there song wasn't bad!
acooling08 Posted 26 May 2012 Posted 26 May 2012 The Greece girl was orgasm inducing. As were 2 or 3 other bang tidy gals.
