I'm letting go the fact that when Coco Pops were first invented there was a picture of a cartoon-but-semi-realistic ape on the box, which they then allowed to evolve into the horrible singing baseball cap-wearing twat with the voice of an actor pretending to be a teenager monkey thing that you see before you today, and naturally the Great British Public stood idly by, and let it happen. Have lessons been learned? Of course not, as almost exactly the same thing happened to the dinosaur on the side of bottles of Yazoo flavoured milk drink, until it became such a c*** that they presumably had to kill it off, because it's not there at all now. Few things in life have ever made me so cross, but I'm now 37 with a mortgage and a family and it's not always easy to find the energy or time to maintain this level of ire, so it's probably best I leave such battles to younger, more vigorous sorts
