Corky Posted 8 July 2012 Posted 8 July 2012 Trigger talking about his medal was four minutes of pure, brilliant comedy.
Rincewind Posted 8 July 2012 Posted 8 July 2012 I suppose the casting is what made it so good. all the parts were well played and would probably not worked with other actors. True with other comedys that did well.
Jace Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Many people say it wouldn't of worked with Jim Broadbent as Del Boy but I gotta be honest the 3 episodes he is in are 3 of the best. Love it when Del tells him who nicked the microwave out the back of the van!

Love it when Del tells him who nicked the microwave out the back of the van! It's all hypothetical. We can say that because David Jason played it so well. He was fine as Slater and did have the look of someone with a "can't join 'em, beat 'em" philosophy.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 A little OFAH fact: The dining table in the Trotters flat is different in every episode and special. As for the best moment for me it has got to be when Rodney gets married and Del Boy gives him £2000 for the deposit but takes a good hiding from the Driscol Brothers, So many emotions are felt during that episode, which for me is what makes it so fantastic.

Love it when Del tells him who nicked the microwave out the back of the van! He is great in it but he could've never been Del Boy. Del couldn't have been that tall for a start, wouldnt have been half has funny. Think he has a bit of a small man syndrome. Don't think he would've been so loveable as David Jason either. Just my opinion of course
Guest Bilo Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 'What they going to call the baby Trig?' 'Well, if it's a girl they're going to call it Sigourney, after an actress. If it's a boy they're going to call it Rodney. After Dave.'
dobbylcfc Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 The best episode for me is when del, Rodney and Albert are on the boat goin down the river on the way to Amsterdam in to hull and back and del see's some Dutch people on the river bank and just ends up shouting AJAX at them and they ain't got a clue what he's saying
Tinman Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Del: 40......... 40, you're not being serious are ya. Rodney: What's wrong with going out with a women of 40. Del: Nothing, nothing at all if you happen to be 50! blimey she's even too old for me. Grandad: Well, I'd have to think twice.
HEGGSY Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Trig - "If its a girl, they're going to call it Sigourney after some actress. And if it's a boy, they're calling it Rodney ... after Dave." lol

The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 The clip where the camera cuts to Rodney dressed in all his shooting gear in the episode where he meets that posh bird. I howl every time. Only Nicholas Lyndhurst could play Rodney so well
Jace Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 I might be able to con people into buying my cars, I might be able to convince them that you conceived and gave birth in seven days, but how the hell am I going to persuade them my grandad was Louis Armstrong?!?

foxfanazer Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 I love the scene where granddad is telling Del that he takes jokes too far. When he told him he'd won the pools

Rincewind Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 There were a couple of OFAH VHS videos in the Sue Ryder shop if anyone is interested.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Can anyone tell me the name of the episode where Rodney pulls a bird, and them gets dropped off at a posh house pretending thats where he lives?
Soar Fox Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 Can anyone tell me the name of the episode where Rodney pulls a bird, and them gets dropped off at a posh house pretending thats where he lives? Yuppy love I think it is. Where his picked up the wrong coat and del had wrote his name in it.
Fox92 Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 "Where do you know Gary from?" "Evening school" "But I went to your evening school, that's where we met" "No, it was another evening school" "When did you go there?" "One evening"
