DJMadness29 Posted 28 July 2012 Posted 28 July 2012 On BBC Three now... How mental is this sport?? It's played at such a fast pace and I quite fancy a go at it.. We're currently losing 10-5 though
Jimothy Posted 28 July 2012 Posted 28 July 2012 I was watching Croatia v Russia earlier. It's mad but it looks a bit like mix of basketball, football and netball, and I honestly think they make it look harder than it is. I'm guessing you can only shoot in the area, and teams seem to defend about a yard inside it, so just run up to the edge and sling it as hard as you can. None of the keepers seem that great so anything you chuck is going in. I like how GB have a player called Fudge.

We're currently losing 10-5 though I`v always been intrigued by this sport and would have loved to play it as a kid. I understand that its quite big in the rest of Europe. Schools are getting our kids to play dodgeball ( ) instead of this.....

Yeah, I was laughing at that Crazy sport, and looks alot of fun Its odd how you dont really see any of these sports around other than at the Olympics
DJMadness29 Posted 28 July 2012 Author Posted 28 July 2012 Apparently some of them played for Bayern leverkusen. Facecloth you can't score whilst stood in the area but you can jump from just outside and dive in to score. I'd love a go.
I am Rod Hull Posted 28 July 2012 Posted 28 July 2012 Is it just me that thinks this game is so much better than basketball?
Webbo Posted 28 July 2012 Posted 28 July 2012 Is it just me that thinks this game is so much better than basketball? Ludo is a better game than basketball.

Looked to me like you had to cross the dotted line to shoot but couldn't go in the dark blue area.
Rincewind Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 Watching it and the one time I want commontators to explain whats going on there isn't one.
RonnieTodger Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 Must be so difficult being a goalkeeper, especially playing a hard surface.
ADK Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 If you commit a football is it a foul? Has to be above the knee, goalkeeper can use his feet inside the area.
Corky Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 Used to play handball on the playground at school and was told by others that throwing the ball in wasn't allowed. Lying bastards.
VinceNoir Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 It's definitely the second biggest sport in Denmark and as others have mentioned, it's quite big in the rest of Europe Danes love it because, in contrast to the national football team, the handball team is really good and is always among the favourites at big competitions. Personally, I'm not a fan. Too much going on.
